The Fairfield Inn and Suites Key West doesn't fit the typical Key West design mold, but some travelers may prefer something unexpected while surrounded by the tropical and Victoria standard outside the hotel's doors. Rooms here have tiled floors designed to looks like weathered wooden planks, platform beds with extra tall upholstered headboards and minimalist bathrooms with glass showers and glass mosaic tiling.
Splash around at the tropically landscaped resort pool. Grown-ups can take a break from the sun, and lounge on one of the chaises or in a cabana. Although there’s no formal restaurant here, the poolside bar serves light fare, and there’s a 24-hour convenience pantry for packaged snacks.
A breakfast buffet is included with your stay, as is covered parking and Wi-Fi. Leave the car in the parking lot and rent a scooter for the 15-minute ride into town. Or, buy a trolley pass, and hop on outside the hotel to see the sights of Key West at a leisurely pace.
