Great location for exploring the Florida keys. Rooms are fairly basic and would be nice to have a more comfortable chair/ottoman but since we did not spend a lot of time in the room, it was not a problem. Bacon would be a nice option at breakfast. Overall a good stay.

The staff was very nice… The first room we checked into didn’t have sufficient water supply or water pressure in the bathroom sink so we had to change to another room which they did very quickly. The room suffered from a lack of lighting, not enough lamps the reading lights by the beds didn’t work, we understand us the case for all of those reading lamps are being replaced. Otherwise, we had a good time. The breakfast was very, very good.

Hotel charged us $30 higher room rate than quoted on Travel Zoo. Front desk personnel stated the rate wasn't valid even though we had the confirmation email from Travelzoo. We spent over an hour standing at the desk and pleading our case to three different hotel employees before they finally agreed to reduce our bill. They did wave the parking fees as well due to our "inconvenience". The manager was reasonable to work with but the first desk employee was completely obstinate and unwilling to even deal with the issue. We are still waiting for the credit card charges to be corrected.

First time visiting Marathon Key and stayed at the Fairfield. It is a nice hotel! Two pools, gym, and restaurant on site. Double Bedroom was nice with comfy beds and view overlooking the larger pool. Room was quiet though. The restaurant, Sparky's was great! Enjoyed drinks and dinner. Key West is a short drive and parked in the parking garage for a few hours. Visited Sombrero Beach. The beach is nice. Wear your swim shoes because of the rocks and seaweed. Water is light brown.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this Fairfield. When we arrived a little early to check-in, Susie at the front desk was most pleasant and helpful. She explained the Bonvoy program and signed me up. She made our initial greeting extremely enjoyable!

Holiday get away with husband. Frequent travelers to the Florida Keys. Perfect location to explore different parts of the Keys. Very convenient to great restaurants. Hotel amenities (daily hot breakfast, pool, tiki bar, restaurant) - very good. Didn’t use bicycle rentals but they looked brand new.

Booked the room for 3-days. Room was just around the corner from the front desk, across the hall from the morning breakfast room (6 am-9:30 am). About 6:30 am the noise and din from doors opening/closing and activity ruined any more sleep. We requested a room change which was granted immediately to the much-quieter 3rd floor. Greatly appreciated the accomodation for the move!

Hotel was clean and comfortable and provided us with everything we needed. I could do without the parking fee but I guess the savings on breakfast made us even. The restaurant behind the hotel was closed for renovation but I can see the shared parking lot might be a problem when it is open.
Dogs are allowed here. I have no problems with that but I would prefer they be kept on the ground floor. I like to book a room that is pet free due to allergies but I don’t think that is possible since I saw several on my floor.

Was a great hotel, beautiful coastal decoration. Staff were friendly and prompt with requests.
The included breakfast was amazing, so many options from eggs , sausage, waffles, bagels , oatmeal cereal yogurt and all the accompaniments. there is also free coffee and tea all day, not only at breakfast.
There were many board games and life size games you could occupy yourself with.
Menu prices at the hotel restaurant were fair compared to other areas in the keys.
Pool area is great, with lounge chairs and hammocks.
Though we didn’t use it, the gym was fully equipped.
The room was clean and tidy with items being replenished every other day, the only thing was there was a certain smell in the room, a bit musty (it may have been from the AC that might need a cleaning). The windows also don’t open so we weren’t able to refresh the air.
Hotel is right next to a gas station which is super convenient for any needs (water, snacks etc).
Location being right in the middle of the Florida’s keys made it great for day trips in both directions. Highly recommend staying here.

Front desk said, “that is what happens when you use a third party like Travelzoo.” He said I would have to contact Travel Zoo for a refund even though it was Fairfield that charged me. When I asked for a manager, the guy on the desk said he was the only one there. I refused to step aside so he miraculously found a manager. She said watch my final bill that everything would even out. I will not book with Fairfield or Travel Zoo again. Also, no daily room cleaning.

This was a birthday trip for one of two couples. The heated pool was nice. We ate at the Tiki Bar/Restaurant one night. Food was good. Server, Jason, was obnoxious.

We were in room 140, which had issues and should not have been given until repairs were made. The reading lights didn’t work, the bathroom light didn’t work and very low water pressure in bathroom sink. The refrigerator froze everything in it. The room door wouldn’t close enough to turn the door lock. When we discussed this with the assistant manager she said they were aware of the problems and were working on it. Really! Then why rent that room?

First time in the keys and wanted to stay in Marathon.
The location was nice and the hotel was nice. Having the restaurant nextdoor and the market marina made it feel like a mini resort. My only complaint was the beds were a little soft and the ac being a window type unit made it either too cold when it was on or too hot when it was off. The hotel and rooms were spacious with all the right amenities. Very pretty hotel for the cost. Had microwave, refrigerator, and free coffee in the lobby.

The hotel was a bit unappealing at first sight because is right off of the roadway and next to a Circle K and Gas station. The pool isn’t large, but maintained well and we liked the hammocks. The room was very nice and clean. We loved the shower. In the back of the hotel is the tiki bar/restaurant Sparkys Landing. We really enjoyed the food, the service, and the live music there.

We usually stay at resort hotels in the keys, usually staying in Islamorada or Key West. Travelzoo had a deal for the Fairfield and reading reviews decided to book. I must say, I was a little disappointed when we drove up that I didn’t book a resort…we arrived earlier than the check in time and I have to say everyone at the front desk was so nice. We had a room within minutes. Room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the parking lot and Overseas Highway. If you looked beyond the highway we had a beautiful view of the water. The Room was very clean. We relaxed by the pool every day, and ate at some very nice restaurants…traveled a bit, an hour to Key West, 45 min. to Islamorada, so it is pretty much centrally located. Biggest plus was that everyone working at this hotel was so accommodating and could not have been more pleasant. Funny, as we pulled up to hotel, there was some disappointment, but I must say, we really enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield.

Hello and thank you for taking time to read my response. I was very disappointed in my trip. This was supposed to be a relaxing getaway for me and my best friend. We arrived Friday July 21, 2023 for 2 nights. On Saturday around 6pm when we were leaving for dinner, we were told by another hotel guest that the elevator was broken. The hotel has 3 floors and we were on the 3rd floor. The hotel also only has 1 elevator. We did not expect to have the elevator still broken when we returned. We certainly did not expect the elevator to still be broken when we checked out. We had to carry all of our luggage and a cooler down 3 flights of stairs as well as make 3 trips up and down. The front desk did offer ti assist with bags but that was of little assistance since we still had the walk up and down. Very disappointing! Because of this I will think twice before booking a hotel with 1 elevator. I understand that this was not on purpose, but it was a very bad ending to what I thought would be a relaxing weekend.

We absolutely loved our visit! the location on Marathon is within easy driving distance to so many great things to do within the Keys. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I absolutely would book this deal again every time it is offered, we love the Keys and this made for an affordable long weekend getaway.

From check in to check out we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Fairfield Inn. The room was larger than we anticipated and well appointed. We also enjoyed the full breakfast each morning and the complimentary coffee throughout the day. We hope to stay here again someday.

Although the Tiki Bar and Restaurant were closed for renovations during our 4 day stay, we understand due this being the off season. We ate at the Island Fish Inn across the highway and it was excellent.

I like this location--right in the middle of the Keys. A bit of a drive to Key West (or Key Largo) but enjoy the sites along the way. The rooms were adequate, staff was very friendly. The onsite restaurant was closed for renovation during my stay but there's an excellent restaurant across the street.

By the time you add all the “hidden” charges, the “deal” wasn’t actually a deal at all. We traveled with a pet, which was charged separately upon check-in, and was charged another occupancy tax in addition to what was already prepaid. On-site restaurant closed for renovations, tiki bar only had limited hours on limited days. Beds need to be replaced desperately.

I noticed this hotel had a restaurant and bar on site with music. When I checked in I was told that it was closed for renovations. If I knew this I would have come at a different time when it would have been open. I feel that I should have been told this before I was there checking in, as construction was ongoing already.
