Though located just a 10-minute drive from downtown Scottsdale, The Sanctuary Camelback Resort manages to capture a secluded oasis feel with its modern casita-style rooms, breathtaking mountain views, and top-notch holistic spa and fitness center.
Guests should definitely opt to upgrade to a spa casita for lots of square footage with floor-to-ceiling windows, gorgeous balconies and chic décor. A resort fee is annoying at first but at $14 not too unreasonable for Wi-Fi, valet and spa access, among other things. And the spa is one of the best in the area, holistically focused with lots of treatments, a zen garden, an infinity pool and a movement studio with lots of classes, also included in the resort fee.
The only resort in Scottsdale set on the north slope of Camelback Mountain, it's home to a swanky on-site bar with one-of-a-kind views, particularly at sunset. The restaurant serves farm-fresh fare with an Asian twist 24/7. This is a great option for couples traveling without kids, seeking maximum relaxation with easy access to the city.
