Seven minutes from Union Square, the Ferry Building and a number the city’s most famous attractions lies the Omni San Francisco, located on the corner of California and Montgomery streets in the Financial District. A former bank, this AAA 4-Diamond hotel holds on to some classic SF touches including a grand marble staircase, Austrian chandeliers and dark wooden interior accents. Ranked No. 3 of over 230 hotels in the area by TripAdvisor, the Omni attracts lots of business travelers during the week and local and international travelers on the weekends.
Once inside the quiet and serene hotel, the city's hustle and bustle is checked at the curb. The stately rooms at the Omni San Francisco are larger than normal downtown San Francisco hotels, ranging from 375 to 385 square feet with a king or two double beds. The hotel offers air conditioning, but guests are able to open the windows for fresh air as well. Corner suites are 600 square feet with a separate living area, many windows and lots of natural light -- perfect for families searching for even more space.
The hotel's popular restaurant, Bob's Steak and Chop House, is known for its carnivorous dishes and impressive wine list. Work off an evening of overindulgence with a trip to the light-filled, 1,500-square-foot health club, which caters to even the most discerning guests with special touches like complimentary chilled towels, headphones, ice water and fresh fruit.
