Map & Directions

Brugge railway station is around a 20-minute walk from the hotel, but there is also a bus to Market Square (marked "Centrum") from the train station which costs around 1.20€. From there it's a short walk to the hotel. Expect to pay around 12€ in a taxi from the train station. Brussels Airport is 108 kilometres from the hotel. From there you can take a shuttle bus to Brussels and then an onward train to Bruges, which takes around an hour and costs in the region of 20€.

There's private underground parking at the hotel. It costs 3€ per hour; 25€ per day. The car park entrance is towards the rear of the hotel -- the hotel recommends entering "Moerstraat 47" into your GPS if arriving by car, as the actual hotel address will take you to the main shopping street and pedestrian area, making car-park access less straightforward.

The oldest part of this romantic building dates back to the 15th century when it was home to the Duke of Burgundy and his court. Today, it is a luxurious 5-star hotel with a spa, a bistro and a bar.

It is very centrally located, making it a good base for exploring historic Bruges, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is just a 5-minute walk from the Markt (Market Square). Just beyond this, past the Beer Museum, is Burg Square, with its medieval architecture and cultural attractions. The Groeningemuseum, which houses an outstanding collection of Flemish Primitives, is a 10-minute walk from hotel.

The hotel's restaurant, Bistro Dukes, offers classic cuisine and tapas-style dishes in a contemporary and comfortable dining room. The Atelier Bar serves a bar menu of light meals such as salads and sandwiches, and it also has an extensive drinks menu. During the warmer months, the Atelier's menu can be enjoyed on the secluded terrace. The buffet breakfast consists of the kind of hot and cold dishes you would expect from a luxury hotel, plus decadent extras such as Belgian chocolate and bubbles.

After a day exploring the city, head to the spa, which offers relaxing massages (Tuesday to Sunday, by appointment), and has a sauna, a steam room and a gym. The 110 rooms have marble bathrooms, and are furnished with high-end materials such a top-quality bed linen.
