With 250 scenic acres and 2.5 miles of Delavan Lake shoreline to explore, the Lake Lawn Resort is a great Wisconsin escape option with tons to do on site. Dating back to the 1870s, the resort affords recently renovated interiors, including updates to the spa, pool and landscape.
Many room types are available, depending on the size of your group. Regular resort rooms are available in the Lodge or in the newer Lakewood facility. Upgrade to a loft room or a suite for groups of four to six; views overlooking the lake or the golf course can be requested. All rooms include complimentary Wi-Fi and parking.
The Frontier Restaurant overlooks the lake and serves New American cuisine; reserve a table on Saturdays for a classic prime rib buffet. The more casual Isle of Capri cafe turns out sandwiches and woodfired pizzas, while the Lookout Bar serves up beers, cocktails, burgers and pub grub.
Families will love the indoor and outdoor pools. There's also an outdoor playground, an indoor Kids Zone for arts and crafts activities and a game room. Guests can rent kayaks or paddleboats to take on the lake, tee off at the Dick Nugent-designed golf course, or relax at the on-site Calladora Spa.
The well-known Lake Geneva area is just a 15-minute drive to the east, with smaller Como Lake also nearby. During busy summers, the resort is a welcome escape from the throngs of tourists shopping downtown. In winter, the resort is 20 minutes from the Alpine Valley ski area and 40 minutes from Wilmot Ski Resort.
