Named one of USA Today's Best New Hotels upon its reopening in 2015 after a major renovation, the 4-star Embassy Row Hotel overlooks buzzing Dupont Circle and is just a block from the metro stop, offering guests easy access to Washington’s top sights.

Grab your daily caffeine fix from the hotel’s coffee shop and take a morning walk along Millionaire’s Row, surrounding yourself with historic embassies and grand mansions before heading out to explore more of D.C. A one-block walk to the Dupont Circle Metro gives guests easy access to the nation's most iconic monuments within a 20-minute metro ride.

After a day of sightseeing, retreat to newly renovated rooms all featuring bright decor, Keurig coffeemakers and 42-inch flat-panel TVs. Standard rooms are on the smaller side but still quite comfortable, while Deluxe rooms add some space and both have interior views of the property. Guests who upgrade to Deluxe City View rooms get a great skyline view of Dupont Circle and the surrounding neighborhood.

During warmer months, guests can take in the sunset on The Rooftop, offering panoramic views of the capital from the hotel's 10th story (usually open May-September); guests have free access to soak in the pool, kick back in a cabana or sip a drink at the bar, while non-guests pay a $30 day pass. It can get crowded on weekends, though, so grab a chair as early as possible. If you're planning on toting the kids to the pool, you'll want to look elsewhere -- it's adults-only when the bar is open.

Beyond that, there are plenty of other perks: Wi-Fi is available throughout, the hotel is pet-friendly with no fees and in-room spa treatments are available. Guests can also drop in on a rooftop morning yoga class, use the fitness center 24 hours a day or hang out in the hotel's "adult playground" with foosball, shuffleboard and pingpong games. You can learn more about the hotel's amenities as well as surrounding Dupont Circle attractions in this video.

The daily happy hour is affordable and the location is highly accessible to a lot of great places in DC
Other Comments
The bed was highly uncomfortable. I also called ahead and asked member services to provide our room with champagne upon arrival as it was my 1 year wedding anniversary; supplied them with a form of payment if needed prior to arrival and once arrived, there was nothing in our room. Very disappointing. There was also no access to their restaurant / food/ bar before 4pm and they do not allow outside food/beverage at their rooftop pool.

Enjoyed exploring the neighborhood of DuPont Circle and Embassy Row. Got a great deal through TravelZoo. Not sure I would have tried it having to pay full price plus resort fee . But felt it was really worth the discounted price.

Friendly staff, great location.

Odd smell in the lobby. It would be much better to add a scent or something to mask it, would significantly improve the experience.

The roof top pool was amazing.

My stay was "ok." The first room I was in the A/C didn't work. The hotel staff was nice enough to move me to another room. The room they moved me to was smaller It would have been nice to have been moved to a room that was comparable or told that the room I was being moved to was smaller. On another note I have never been to a hotel pool where they didn't allow outside drinks. At one point the bartender stared going around and taking everyone's drinks. I thought that was a bit too much. Especially when we are guest at the hotel.

The location.
Other Comments
The parking fee which was ridiculously high. The "facilities" are not worth a fee so glad that wasn't tacked on in our case. Otherwise was not very impressed with this hotel.
