Why We Love This Hotel

- It’s owned and decorated by Feng Shui masters
- There’s a leafy rooftop terrace
- Explore the city with a free public transport card
Set around the shores of Europe's largest Alpine lake, Geneva is Switzerland's third-largest city. Hotel Jade is in the city centre, five minutes on foot from the lake. It was set up by two Feng Shui masters, and the hotel is designed according to the principles of the ancient Chinese practice. The highlight is the rooftop terrace with padded garden chairs and stone Buddha statues.
The city's main train station, Genève-Cornavin, is a 10-minute walk from the hotel, and the historic Palais des Nations is 10 minutes by car. From there, you might see the Alps and Mont Blanc on a clear day. The Old Town, set on a hill around the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre, is dotted with boutiques, top restaurants and pretty promenades. The hotel provides a free public transport card so you can fully explore the city.
There’s also plenty to do around Lake Geneva. Take a cruise to see the Jet d'Eau fountain that propels water to an impressive altitude of 140 metres and see the Castle of Bellerive from the water.
The air-conditioned Standard Rooms come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, mini bars and bathrobes. Some also have kitchenettes. Executive Rooms are larger (roughly 25 square metres) and can sleep up to three adults, with a separate living area. There’s 24-hour room service. Some of the Junior Suites are on the top floor and have private balconies as well as Nespresso machines.
