Housed in the iconic old Fish Market building, this hip hotel features high ceilings and avant-garde décor. Located in the historic Massarelos district, it’s surrounded by many of the landmarks that have made Porto a World Heritage Site.
The Electric Tram Museum, the Museum of Port Wine and the Crystal Palace Gardens are all a stone’s throw from Vincci Hotel. Stroll a little further to see the impressive Porto Cathedral or lively Ribeira Square.
The Dom Luis I Bridge dominates the Porto skyline and joins the historic and modern parts of the city. Walk over the bridge (a two kilometre walk from the hotel) to sample the wares from the multitude of port tasting houses. If all those steps seem like too much work, opt to take the cable car (8€ for a return ticket) and enjoy the view.
The hotel has an elegant glass-domed lobby, a light and airy restaurant with Douro river views and a stylish bar with contemporary décor. For dinner and drinks in the city, the Boavista, Foz do Douro and Miragaia neighbourhoods are within a 10-minute drive from the hotel, although there’s no better spot for a sundowner than on the banks of the Douro River. Real foodies should visit Porto's Bolhão Market, frequently cited as one of Europe’s best food markets, to try some of the finest custard tarts around.
There are 95 large, soundproofed bedrooms with contemporary décor, or upgrade to one of the five super-spacious suites with marble bathrooms. All rooms have cable TV, a pillow menu, mini bars and free Wi-Fi, while some have private terraces. Buffet breakfast and parking are available.
