The 4-star Hermitage Hotel is in the centre of the city, opposite the Bournemouth International Centre and a 3-minute walk to the beach. It is also near the W Undercliff Promenade -- a pier that juts out into the sea. The hotel offers stunning sea views from its AA-Rosette-Award-winning restaurant, bar and many of its rooms.
The Hermitage is five minutes' walk from Bournemouth's city centre, and about 200m from The Bournemouth Aquarium. If you want to venture further outside of Bournemouth, the exclusive area of Sandbanks is about 19 minutes' drive away, and you can get to Poole in about 22 minutes. Alternatively, the New Forest National Park is about 25 minutes' drive from the hotel.
The hotel's AA-Rosette-Award-winning restaurant serves a variety of fresh seafood and dishes made with locally sourced produce where possible. You can choose dishes from the 3-course set or à la carte menus, which include rib-eye steaks, sea bass and crab. There's also a more relaxed lounge menu for breakfast, brunch, lunch and light meals, and a range of afternoon teas, including a children’s version.
The Hermitage Hotel offers a range of rooms, all with complimentary toiletries, on-site parking, bottled mineral water and free Wi-Fi. The smaller Compact Rooms have double beds and ensuite bathrooms; Standard Rooms add larger accommodation; Superior and Sea-View Rooms have king-size beds, extra sitting areas, Nespresso coffee machines, dressing gowns and slippers, and spectacular sea views. All rooms have access to the hotel’s 24-hour room service.
