Hotel Vyšehrad is a budget-friendly property in Prague, close to the Vltava River and the hill fortress of Vyšehrad. The hotel has a selection of bars, restaurants and open-air cafés within a short walk.
The 42 rooms are traditional in style, with four single rooms and one apartment. All are modestly furnished and come with cable TV, private bathrooms, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Select rooms are pet-friendly for a small additional fee.
The hotel serves a breakfast buffet between 7-10am each morning, and there is also a bar in the lobby for a drink after a day of sightseeing. While there are no recreation facilities on site, there is a tennis court and swimming pool nearby and the front desk can recommend some jogging routes in the area.
The hotel is close to two Metro stations -- Pražského Povstani (a 5-minute walk) and Vyšehrad (an 11-minute walk). From the latter, Wenceslas Square is just two stops away. Here you'll find the National Museum and the impressive Prague State Opera building, as well as a vibrant array of shops, restaurants and bars.
Alternatively, for uninterrupted views of the city and Prague Castle, Vyšehrad is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. This hill fort dates back to the 10th century, and contains the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul, Vyšehrad Cemtery and the Rotunda of St Martin, which is Prague's oldest building.
