The Hampton Inn & Suites Ocean City and Bayfront Convention Center has all of the amenities of a typical Hampton property with some great, family-friendly benefits. There's a nice-sized indoor and outdoor pool, a hot continental breakfast — including coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day — and easy, but not direct, access to the beach and boardwalk.
The hotel is within a few minutes' walk to Roland E. Powell Convention Center. Splash Mountain Water Park, which features waterslides, a lazy river and a wave pool, is also within a 20-minute walk or five-minute drive. Jolly Roger Park, which is just past Splash Mountain Water Park, has typical amusement park rides and bumper cars.
Those who don’t want to walk or drive have several options for getting around Ocean Park. There’s a shuttle from the hotel to provide transportation to the beach, which is especially beneficial for those who have quite a bit of gear or small children. There are also buses that can be taken to various parts of the boardwalk. Do be warned, though, that these buses can get busy in the evening.
For the best views, guests should request a view of the bay to watch the sunrise and sunset. It’s also possible to see paddleboarders and kayakers who float by. Guests can spend their early evening hours at the tiki bar, where they can snack on light sandwiches and bask in the warmth of the fire pits near the pool area.
