A five-minute walk from Heavenly Village and other South Lake Tahoe attractions, Best Western Station House Inn provides an affordable, convenient option for those looking to explore all that the area has to offer.
Rooms are basic and veer on the smaller side, but they do come equipped with conveniences such as refrigerators and complimentary Wi-Fi. Families and larger groups can upgrade to one of the larger suites, which have full-size sleeper sofas.
Fuel up before a day of activity with the complimentary, made-to-order breakfast; the breakfast area can get crowded during prime season. The on-site restaurant also serves steak and seafood entrees for dinner, and it is open seasonally for lunch.
Stop by the hot tub to soothe tired muscles. A pool is also on-site but only open seasonally. Three blocks from the hotel, there is a semi-private beach for guests.
The hotel's biggest draw is its close proximity to a host of activities. A free shuttle goes to Heavenly Village, which is about a three-minute drive away and has a skiing/sightseeing gondola lift along with shopping and dining options. The shuttle also stops at the local casinos: Harrahs, Harveys and Montbleu, which are also about a three-minute drive away.
