The hotel is about 15 minutes' drive from the A55, which links Anglesey to the mainland. There are also flights to Anglsey from Cardiff five days a week. Parking is free.
Tre-Ysgawen Hall Country House Hotel & Spa has won praise for its 11 acres of landscaped gardens and "breathtaking" (The Daily Telegraph) setting on the Welsh island of Anglesey. The hotel is less than 30 minutes' drive from the "handsome" Georgian town of Beaumaris -- the "most obviously beautiful" place on the island -- and is also ideally located for exploring the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty coastline and other "hidden gems" (Lonely Planet).
The hotel has held a VisitWales Gold Award since 2011 and its famous former guests include Demi Moore, Sir David Attenborough and Alicia Keys.
The Gothic-style building has a traditional finish, with high ceilings and chandeliers. Some of the bedrooms overlook the grounds; others have views of the mountains and the courtyard.
The real showstoppers here are the fine-dining Noëlle's Restaurant and the spa, which is in the hotel's converted stables. Noëlle's serves a 5-course set-menu dinner. For more relaxed fare, Il Giardino restaurant serves italian dishes 6-9.30pm, and the Clock Tower serves food until 5pm.
Guests get full access to the spa facilities, which include an indoor pool, a gym and a Thermal Suite with an experience shower, an ice fountain and a salt-inhalation therapy room. Advance booking is advised for treatments.

We were there for a birthday party. Food quite good but table not as booked by host.
Overall very disappointing for £364.30 two night stay plus travel!!!
Other Comments
Very cold on arrival so much so had to be given a heater. Corridors cold all the time.
Food very poor in restaurant. Wine list not offered so didn’t know what we were paying. Welsh breakfast - one sausage, one egg, one field mushroom, half tomato, two rashers over cooked bacon. Next day croissants and pastries cold and not fresh.
Room very old fashioned - hairdryer fixed in drawer.
