Why We Love This Hotel

  • A block away from hot chicken at iconic Hattie B's, the Hutton puts guests within a short drive of the honky-tonks on Broadway yet far enough away to sleep soundly at night
  • "The cool factor skyrockets at Analog" (Oyster.com): the hotel's two-story music club has already hosted big-name acts like Maren Morris and Allen Stone
  • Guests can try their hand at composing in one of the on-site writing rooms designed by Dierks Bentley and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder

Overview

Sitting between Vanderbilt University, Centennial Park and Broadway Avenue in the aptly named midtown neighborhood, the Hutton Hotel screams Music City from head to toe: Guest rooms, with floor-to-ceiling windows, feature wallpaper patterned after sound waves in a nod to the city's musical roots. Then there are country-chic accents like bar-stools fashioned to resemble saddles in the on-site restaurant.

The Hutton is a magnate for country-music stars, too — Maren Morris recorded her No. 1 single "The Middle" here. During awards shows, you just might have a "celebrity sighting or three if you camped out in the lobby long enough" (Conde Nast Traveler).

Rooms and suites come with modern necessities like free Wi-Fi, plus a litany of indulgent extras — think steam showers with rainfall heads, twice-daily house-keeping services and gourmet snack drawers stocked with locally sourced treats (for an added fee). There's also a host of other freebies, like car service around Nashville — in a Tesla — and vinyl records available for rental.

The hotel's newly opened restaurant, Mane & Rye Dinerant, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and specializes in boozy milkshakes — like the Fat Elvis, which comes with banana ice cream, peanut butter, marshmallow fluff and a shot of Jack Daniel's. After a late night on Broadway, we recommend the short rib hash or sour cream pancakes with whiskey bananas.

We had an awesome time! The hotel was so clean, had good vibes and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They had so many great amenities. It was in a great location and the Tesla shuttle car was a great perk to help us get around and not use Uber all the time.

We got there at noon on a Friday and asked if our room was ready. We were told housekeeping was working on it. At 2:30 we were told the same thing. After waiting 2.5 hours we decided to go ahead and change for our night out and leave. We were alerted at 4 pm of our room being ready. If we were just told originally at noon that housekeeping was backed up that would have been fine. But our expectations were set at noon when they told us that housekeeping was working on it and we missed out on time we could have been out exploring the city

We decided to make Nashville our first Mother/Daughter trip. We were lucky enough to book rooms for our group at the Hutton Hotel. The whole experience was wonderful! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the breakfast (included with our rooms) was fantastic and the rooms were great! The live music in the lobby was the icing on the cake!

While the concierge was very helpful, the position should be fulltime. The only complaint...and certainly not a big one... is that the concierge was never at the desk. The reception staff had to routinely call her when someone needed help. Also, she only worked to 5 pm and many of our questions about the area, i.e., restaurants, were after 5 p.m. However, the reception staff was helpful in that regard, and made good suggestions.

We had booked 2 corner suites for $199 with breakfast which was a great value. The staff were polite , professional, friendly and pleasant from valet to reception to housekeeping. We had a wonderful breakfast everyday in the hotel restaurant (Mane and Rye) and we sampled the entire breakfast in 5 days! Everything was delicious and portions were very generous. We joined happy hour 4-6 nightly and enjoyed very talented musicians/singers there. Rooms were comfortable; beds comfortable and rain shower with great water pressure. Would return for this special value.
