The building that houses the Loews Philadelphia Hotel was the nation’s first skyscraper and the first savings bank. Remnants of this history remain, including the original bank vault in the lobby and the red neon sign on the top. The Center City location places the hotel within a few minutes' walk of historic sights including Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.
Inside, the hotel is modern elegance, with easy chairs and comfortable seating in the lobby blending with the original Art Deco styling. Rooms are ultra-modern with a black-and-white color palette and pops of red accents. Most have city views, and all have free Wi-Fi.
Amenities include an indoor lap pool, a fitness center and a full-service spa. There’s an on-site restaurant that specializes in American classics with a modern twist and specialty bourbons. The lobby lounge has drinks, light bites and lots of outlets to help guests stay plugged in while away from home.
