Set in the foothills of Pinnacle Peak on the outskirts of Scottsdale, the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North is a luxurious desert oasis. Adobe casitas are meant to blend in with the surroundings. Other Southwestern touches include wooden beamed ceilings and terraces, gas fireplaces and a color palette intended to evoke the hues of the local landscape.
Accommodations range from a garden level room up to a three-bedroom suite. All have private outdoor space with views of the craggy brush and cactus-filled landscape. Suites come with extras like gas fireplaces, DVD players and sofa beds.
There are plenty of ways to pass the time here. Hike up to the scenic lookout point at Pinnacle Peak, work out in the fitness center or hit the links next door. Guests here receive preferential tee times at the adjacent Troon North Golf Course. The hotel also has a full-service spa and bi-level pool for those who prefer to just relax. For a truly unique experience, have the hotel concierge book the Cowboy for a Day experience, where an experienced rider will teach you the tricks of the trade.
The on-site steakhouse received both the AAA 4-Diamond award and the Forbes 4-star rating. There’s also a restaurant serving American classics, and a poolside bistro and a lounge for lighter appetites.
