upon arrival into our room, toilet was 'running'. Tried flushing to see if it would stop. Opened tank and found internal parts broken. Attempted to fix myself unsuccessful. Tried using room phone to call front desk - line continually busy. Used personal cell phone to call hotel to advise of broken toilet and that room phone was always busy - was told, buttons to call(dial) direct do not work. Had to wait for maintenance person to come to room to confirm the obvious, part needed to replaced as was broken. 2nd issue which we did advise front desk at check out was one of the lights next to the bed gave you "shock" as you attempted to turn on or off - we simply didnt use after 1st shock, however in an effort to ensure the next guests did not encounter same, we felt best to let them know and hopefully they will look into it and have it repaired.

When Travelzoo had the deal for the Fairmont Winnipeg I couldn't believe it! We had tickets for a concert and were able to stay at this beautiful hotel. We had a wonderful time!

The Fairmont Winnipeg is perfectly located in the heart of downtown Winnipeg close to The Forks which is one of the premier hot spots to visit in Winnipeg. Very close to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights as well.
