Overview
The Houstonian Hotel in three words: big Texas luxury. This relaxing, family-friendly resort is set on 18 forested acres bordering Memorial Park and is loaded with activities and amenities that make it hard to venture too far from home base.
The belle of the ball here is the Houstonian Club, a massive, state-of-the-art fitness facility that's home to 250 modern machines, indoor/outdoor tennis courts, racquetball courts, basketballs courts, yoga and Pilates studios, rock climbing walls and a great spa. The three pools are lovely, with waterslides, waterfalls and one specifically for toddlers. Guests can opt to dine poolside or at one of two upscale restaurants.
The location is quite secluded, so it's great for guests who want to get off the beaten path. Those without a car, however, can take a free shuttle off property to the Galleria shopping center for a change of pace.
