Enjoyed Most: Everything! The spa was especially amazing!
Other Comments: We always enjoy our time at Salishan. Quiet, had a beautiful view in our room, great drinks and food at the bar.

Enjoyed Most: Getting away from all the snow!
Other Comments: We thought it would be on the ocean and were disappointed it was only on the bay which we could see little of from our room.

Enjoyed Most: We enjoyed the free putt putt and driving range ($3 for a bucket of balls). The room was nice, the only down side was that we could hear every word our neighbors said. Maybe if it was not an adjoining room it would have been better. It sounded like there was no insulation at all where the door between our rooms were. When they woke up at 5:30am, so did we :(

Enjoyed Most: Bathroom was not clean upon arrival
Other Comments: They charged additional charges that were not on the Travel Zoo invoice and for no good reason as I didn't require any additional services.

Enjoyed Most: Very relaxing, casual atmosphere. The summer camp ambience is great with the smells of fir needles and pine and evening camp fire smoke drifting from the open patio area. Just plain fun..yet all in a quiet place.
Other Comments: This resort has been recently renovated. A whopping 18.5 million overhaul. Expect newly refreshed cedar siding in the spa and pool areas. All new windows. New bedding/ sofa sleepers that have not yet been used...super comfortable..super clean. Beautiful Pendleton (the real deal) upholstery. I was extremely impressed especially after my friends in Portland disapproved of the location. This property expects to have outdoor concerts next summer season in a newly placed lawn/outdoor amphitheater area. The golf course has been renovated. The only downside is the lack of interesting shopping near the pro shop. A solo musician could easily strike a deal with management to have a mini concert in this area. Also, the placement of the spa is not easily accessible by foot. Perhaps it will be relocated closer to the resort/lodging in the future. This property is superior for those seeking a more organic, experience in the woods..yet very close to fine beaches on the Oregon Coast.

Enjoyed Most: Its was nice
Other Comments: I got charged by travelzoo and them. Something needs to be done to get credited back so im not double charged.

Enjoyed Most: Huge suite with deck and a fireplace and a nice view.
DAVID Jul 05, 2016 Portland, OR, United States
Enjoyed Most: The grounds were pretty, but it was far from the actual beach. The cleaning staff does a nice job with maintaining the rooms. I would recommend the hotel, but only to someone who had no other option to stay on the actual coast.
Other Comments: Though our room was nice, and the grounds pretty, the service was slow regardless of whether the restaurants we were in were full or not, every time we went. This included service at the front desk. The images on the website and the package itself made it seem like we would have a much nicer room than we ended up with. I have stayed in many resorts of this type, and truly felt disappointed with the quality for the price.
