I loved that my room faced the beach and there were beach chairs available. loved the mimosas and meals at the Steel pan restaurant. I really enjoy pool when I wasn't at the beach. the front desk staff gave me info on the area and how to get around town

The Sonesta location is pretty far removed from the main strip of Fort Lauderdale Beach. That may be a positive for some as it is quieter. But that also means you are limited with restaurants and stores in easy walking distance. The staff at desk were extremely friendly and accommodating which was the real perk. We were given an ocean view room as part of our Travelzoo deal, and seeing the beach and palms was lovely. Overall the rooms were unspectacular though -- no balcony, beds fine but not super comfy, no down comforters, and room/bathreom size was rather smallish. The pool area is modest but had a very nice couch and gas fire pit area. The high resort fee gets you 2 beach loungers, 2 proseccos and 2 waters in room.( Fee was thankfully was waived as part of package). I was happy to find the Travelzoo deal as I've been wanting to try this hotel (sometimes they are a little cheaper), but overall, there are better choices for the money down the way.

The process of booking with Travelzoo, arriving at the hotel, and our entire stay was easy. The hotel and amenities matched the description. The hotel is located in a fantastic location on the beach. There is a wonderful ice place and coffee/breakfast place right next door. The hotel room had a wonderful ocean view and the process for checking in/out was easy. We would definitley go back.
