The service at the hotel was excellent. The room was nice but small. The $10 per person per day for the bakery was extra special treat, as were the macaroons. The neighborhood around the hotel was nice. Thank you Travelzoo and the Bellclaire for making our 4 day visit memorable.

The whole Travelzoo and Belleclaire experience was flawless. Upper West Side hotel in an amazing neighborhood. Staff was super friendly. Rooms are small but no different than other hotels in NYC…I would say book Deluxe Queen or bigger for a bit of space. Breakfast voucher was a great touch! Excellent spot as Central Park is close and you are right on Broadway. 1 train is a couple blocks away to take you into the heart of the city.

This is a charming hotel in a great location. Clean, beautiful old structure. Room was very quiet which is SO hard to find in NYC! Staff was lovely. I definitely plan to stay here again!

Great location in a nice neighborhood--terrific restaurants and shops nearby. Easy walk to subway. Terrific bakery in lobby level of the hotel. Vouchers worth $20/day to use at the bakery were a nice touch--essentially the equivalent of having a lite breakfast included in the room rate.

Arrived early to hotel as we had tickets to 2pm matinee. Asked them to hold our luggage as check in time was not until 3pm. While the bellman was tagging our luggage, the desk person stated that she did have a room ready and checked us in at 12pm! The room was much larger than expected and nice and clean! Staff was always very nice and accommodating. Great location for everywhere we went with subway stop a block away when we didn't want to walk. Would definitely return.

Only issue was hotel uses a spry cleaner that had a very strong oder.
The Travelzoo deal that we got was pretty fantastic. We got vouchers every morning for the whole French bakery below the hotel, and it was an easy and lovely little place to stay at my only negative is that they put us in a room that had a door joining with another room and there were some issues because of that.

Because there was A gap between the door and the floor and you could hear the other person talking… when we called the front desk to not be very happy about this, they suggested we put some towels in front of the gap… they would happily supply us with those towels, but that seems pretty ridiculous. Number one being put in a room with a shared door of people that we didn’t know was disappointing and having a door door with a big gap to a room of people we didn’t know was pretty disappointing. We weren’t in our hotel because we were exploring, but we did have some issues with this situation. Definitely feel like the hotel should be some sort of guard at the bottom of that door and what they can to rectify this problem as opposed to handing us some towels

Enjoyed the two-night stay here, as the location, while not next to the theatre district, was still convenient to get to our pre-show dinner and theatre itself. Staff was friendly, and appreciated the amenities and accommodations. The bakery was phenomenal and busy each morning. Highly recommend and would consider returning for future theatre district visits!

Good repeat experience. However, the hotel should be clear with guests that a hold of funds is placed on their credit card upon registering. The amount for us was almost $100., or about 30% of the entire cost of the stay, and as a retired CPA I always check this type of transaction. The hotel offered no advice that the hold was being carried out, including the amount, and when the amount would be refunded as a credit to the credit card. Perhaps you can impress upon hotel management the need for transparency. In fact, upon receiving a statement on checkout, the hold amount was not included anywhere on the statement. Thank you.

Totally positive experience. The hotel is close to things I’m interested in doing and close to the subway and there’s always Uber. The hotel gives you vouchers for breakfast at the bakery that is accessible without leaving the hotel. The restaurant is excellent. Rooms are clean and well planned. A fabulous trip

Highly recommend! Great location! 3 blocks from Central Park. Excellent Italian restaurant right across the street. Parking, subway, CVS all very close/ convenient. Our room and bathroom were immaculate. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was a bit small, to be expected in an older building, but the shower was absolutely luxurious.

The staff was so friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Informed us on arrival we had been upgraded from a queen to a king room. On- site bakery had absolutely delicious ( and complimentary!) fresh, flaky croissants for breakfast. The staff stored our luggage after check out so we could spend the day exploring before heading home. Will definitely stay here again!

It was perfect! This hotel is a true gem! Definitely will be our go to place when staying in Manhattan. Very clean and well updated. Room was a great size for Manhattan and quiet. Bathroom was large with modern glass shower. Front desk staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Macaroons and breakfast vouchers put the experience over the top and for an unbelievable Travelzoo low price.

An example of the staff going over & beyond: at check we were told there was going to be a complimentary cocktail hour at 5 PM. I expressed disappointment since we had early dinner reservations prior to a show. So instead, she said I can give you some wine for your room and handed us a bottle - a full bottle - of red wine and 2 glasses so we wouldn't miss out. Unheard of in Manhattan!

The room appeared to have been recently renovated, no signs of wear and tear. the bath had a window, all walls appeared to be covered in marble, stylish sink and shower. Mattress was firm and comfortable and linens were high end. Overall a great value.

Maria, Shanies & Michael at the front desk went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Every single employee at the hotel that we encountered in our 2-night Thanksgiving stay was friendly and helpful. It was my second stay at the hotel but the first time through Travelzoo. The room was tiny compared to my previous room and it faced an airshaft, but the deal was unbeatable. Happily, the room was immaculately clean - as was the bathroom - and was not claustrophobic, the bed & pillows comfortable, the heat whisper quiet, and the room pretty soundproof with the exception of a few people walking by the room. Having continental breakfast included from the patisserie downstairs was a plus and the neighborhood and all the people we met at Wednesday's wine hour were great. There were zero issues booking through Travelzoo - even during the busy holiday when the hotel was clearly full.

I have stayed here many times over the years and each time have found the staff to be beyond expectation with Shanies Hunte at the front desk even beyond that and everyone else there, at the bar, at the door , in housekeeping to make every attempt to make your stay a delight. The addition of a restaurant and bar have made a lovely hotel even better. The rooms continue to be updated to block out noise, to make the rooms lovelier with fantastic bathrooms, beds, lighting and with electric blinds so you can enjoy the street and outdoor if and when you want.

Again, the hotel keeps getting better and better. I want to thank Shanies and also the rest of the front desk staff as they seem to delight in making their guests feel wanted, a small boutique feel in a big town.

The Hotel Bellclaire once again provided a comfortable stay in a great neighborhood. Easy walk to Lincoln Center and convenient subway connection to Times Square. The size of the room was terrible. It was soooo small not even a chair could fit in the room. The elevators were too small and did not work most of the time. The location is not the best for going to mid town. We are very seasoned travelers, and we have never stayed in such an uncomfortable room even is Asia or Latin America.

Staff were accommodating. We switched rooms as ours had been recently cleaned and the disinfectant smell was severe. Helpful at check-in, check out. Base rooms are very small and with windows facing other parts of the building making for a dark room. Price was right. Neighborbood was quieter than much of the city.

Room was small (typical for NYC hotel), noise level in the lounge was loud but room was nice and quiet. Because the bathroom was small, there was only one small shelf over the sink and it was tilting down so it was fairly useless. More shelves would have been helpful.

Breakfast - only got a $10 voucher - one cup of tea /coffee was $5, so actually didn't get much for breakfast - but the pasrry shop was excellent but expensive.
ALso there were big queues at the bakery shop and there was not enough seating for breakfast - get there early
Also our room was not cleaned for 2 days - we had to ask for fresh towels on the third day.

Visited our daughter in NYC. Belleclaire was very well located on upper west side. Room was very clean and nicely appointed if sparse containing only a small desk with chair, small chest of drawers and end tables around bed. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was nicely appointed with tile to ceiling.

It would be helpful if there were luggage racks in the room and if there had been robes (as advertised). My biggest complaint though is that only one elevator was working and we waited a long time for an elavator.

This is a great hotel--so convenient to everything, whether walking, by subway or bus. The rooms I had was small--cozy--but had everything I needed and was clean and comfortable. The coupons for breakfast at the adjacent French bakery were a wonderful bonus.
