The exterior of the Safari Inn in Burbank is pure 1950s-era charm. From the two-story courtyard design to the roadside neon sign, the hotel is a modern-day relic and a favorite in the entertainment industry for its classic retro charm. Scenes from major movies and TV shows have used the Safari Inn as a backdrop, including "True Romance," "Apollo 13" and "Desperate Housewives."
Inside, the hotel has been updated to reflect more modern tastes. Each room has free Wi-Fi and a mini fridge. Suites come equipped with a full kitchen. The décor is bright and cheery with a nod to the hotel’s history. Bedding is accented with animal prints and framed posters adorn the walls.
There’s a heated outdoor pool and deck area for sunning, a fitness room and free shuttle to Burbank airport. The hotel is a five-minute drive to the entertainment studios at NBC, Disney, Nickelodeon and Warner Bros.
