Had a great time walking the sea wall in the park. Through gas town and down Robson and shopping for christmas the suite was great where we enjoyed watching Christmas movies and golf with a kitchen we enjoyed our meals in and enjoyed the overall extra space. Will go again

The neighbourhood was very quiet which was lovely. There was a good vegan/gluten free coffee shop/restaurant just a few minutes walk away on Nicola Street.

The room was outdated and clearly needed some repairs/replacements…paint, tile, bedding (specifically pillows which were shapeless lumpy things). Cheap toiletries. The hairdryer wall bracket fell off while I was using it which was startling, and potentially dangerous as it was plugged in and right beside the toilet. Luckily (?) it hit the floor.
There was no discernible way to turn down the heat in the room, and it was far too warm which made sleeping uncomfortable. Windows only opened very slightly and, as they had no screens, it didn’t seem wise or safe, particularly as there had been a recent review about mice and we had a ground floor suite. I think it must have been the wall mounted heating system that made loud tapping noises all night long.
The staff were friendly and attentive, but no one seemed available during later hours when we returned in the evening to field questions (ie like about the heat in the suite).

Our large unit was well equipped, comfortable, clean and very quiet, although it could use some repair work (curtains off runners, loose taps in the bathroom and kitchen, bent vent covers). The gentleman who checked us in and assisted us during our stay was very friendly, informative and welcoming. The location can't be beat - steps to Stanley Park and English Bay as well as the many wonderful and varied restaurants and shopping in the West End area. One of our favourite places to stay.

There was no heat in the living room area. When we called down we eventually got a call back from the incredibly rude person who checked us in. He was willing to come up and check it out but he insisted that we be downstairs when he came in. Since we were in Vancouver for a medical procedure my wife had to stay in bed. He left a space heater to use.
The carpets in the general area were torn and the entire building is very run down. If you want I can show you pictures. It is not a place that I can recommend.

We stayed here for the Vancouver Marathon. The location was perfect for the start of the 8km run. The neighbourhood was quiet and away from the business of downtown but close enough to the shops on Robson to walk everywhere. We had easy access to Stanley Park. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and the full kitchen was a big bonus. Kent and Tag went out of their way to accommodate our many requests for parking, late checkout, calling taxis, and just being generally helpful. We will make this our go to place to stay in Vancouver.

The rooms were rather run-down and the mattress was old, worn, and really uncomfortable. We slept poorly and had aching backs because of the bed. Also, we checked in at 3:30pm which was late check in (!?), so we had to navigate a somewhat confusing set of check in/parking instructions on our own.

I was caught up in the Westjet chaos and arrived two days late to Vancouver, and too late to catch a ferry home (to Sechelt). The location, price and efficiency of the Rosellen was perfect for me (recommended by a friend, and fortunately available last minute through TravelZoo).

Because I was late arriving the check in / out desk was closed. I hadn't registered this in the stress of my flight changes -- fortunately the friend who recommended the Rosellen alerted me. So, luckily, I did get the after-hours procedure from the proprietors. I recommend alerting potential late guests in a more noticeable, emphatic way. I'd have been a mess if I hadn't had my friend to alert me. Having said all that, I liked the process -- direct, efficient and uncomplicated both evening and morning for check-in and check-out. And last, it's a wonderful neighbourhood between a gorgeous, wild park and a lively resourceful neighbourhood, set in a quiet, pretty residential area. I'll go again and recommend it to friends.

The room was a standard/basic room that had the deal via Travelzoo. The pictures looked better than the room itself. My parents and Uncle stayed in the room for one night and said it was decent - as only spending one night. The kitchen did not have an dish sponge, the room was cold and they had to ask for extra blankets. The next morning they discovered that the windows were slightly open. Overall it’s a 3 star place. If you are looking for a simple room to sleep and not spending much time here then fine. Location is good, close to coffee shops, restaurants and grocery store (no frills in denman mall).

Everything was excellent except that we arrived after 5:30 and getting in was tricky. We kept being disconnected from the remote check in. But the manager came personally from his home in the area and assisted. That was the only downside - everything else was great. Fantastic location close to restaurants and Stanley park. Extremely hood price point. We are a family with two teens and sharing a room is not an option for us - two bedroom suite worked perfectly and we would have paid twice as much at a hotel

Great location, good friendly cleaning staff, Kent at the reception was excellent. Our room was older and could have used a bit of a fix up, like gluing vertical blind in place so it worked. Mattress was sagging in the middle so rolled towards the middle but overall was comfortable.

Just wanted to thank Kent for being so helpful. In Room 105 the are a couple of blind pieces that need to be glued in so they work properly. Pillows and mattress were comfortable but the mattress did sag in the middle. The cleaning staff were friendly and good. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

This is a delightful grand old dame of an apartment building. It's half a block from Stanley Park, and in a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood. A two bedroom suite for the price offered is extraordinary. If you need a longer stay in Vancouver - this should be one of your considerations.

Check in was somewhat stressful, as we didn't arrive until after 3 pm (the office is only open from 9-3 as I later learned). The voice at the end of the 'after hours' line said to walk in and a welcome package would be waiting for me, however, there was no walking in and certainly no package. I had to call the number 3 times before I was asked for mine so that further information could be sought. Eventually, a man let me in and signed us into our room, some half hour after I arrived at the door.
The office hours should be emphasized, with a more comprehensive method of achieving check-in.

It was a great location on a quiet residential neighbour only a block walk to Stanley Park and a short walk to restaurants and stores. Also very close to downtown, Coal Harbour and Stanley Park. Only issue was finding our room key had expired before we checked out (an hour earlier than hotel checkout time) so card didn't work to get us back into building so we could get our things and check out. We spent 2 nights at the hotel. Great location very close to Beautiful Stanley Park and we did a lot of walking around downtown Vancouver. Rooms are older but very clean and very quiet. Having a kitchenette is a real bonus. We also enjoyed breakfast at The Basic only a few blocks from hotel.

Ideal location. Close to everything! On the edge of Stanley Park so quiet retreat from the city noise. We had a one bedroom overlooking the courtyard. Very clean and cute space. Our stay was 8 days so having the kitchen facilities was a nice bonus. It would have been a challenge in a regular hotel room for that long.
Tag and Kent were very helpful from check in until we left. I would definitely recommend staying here. I would stay here again!

We were looking for accommodation in Vancouver that had an apartment feel and amenities. We found that at the Rosellen. It was a spacious suite with a full kitchen. We were able to have breakfast in our suite and we're in easy access to the city. Being beside Stanley park and English Bay was excellent. Of particular note was the outstanding customer service. We really felt like they appreciated our business.

On our arrival (4th December 2021) we didn't experience our normal cheery welcome from the man on duty. We were also, initially, denied access to the basement parking area. Once we courteously stated our previous experience of parking there, then there was no further problem with his manner.

Booking was a pain, because if any changes needed to be made, I had to go back to travelzoo, and they might potentially have to confer with the hotel. However when we got there, the man at the hotel was very helpful.
The hotel is old, they have tried to fix it up with a paint job and new paintings on the wall etc. It is good value, but I probably wouldn't pay more than what I did on TravelZoo.
The place needs a DEEP clean. The carpets need a really good cleaning, scrubbing out all the window sills etc. I had some kind of allergic reaction when I went into the room which is either from the dust or mold.
But, the location is phenomenal. And for a budget stay it is good.

2nd time stay at Rosellen Suites. The apartment is older but very well maintained. You will have everything you need. Location is fantastic. Lots of restaurants and very close to Robson Street. Would definitely recommend!

They have an easy check in process for after hours. above ground parking was available for larger vehicles. we had a two bedroom suite, was an apartment downtown! lots of room to spread out. Kitchen was well equipped. Was easy to get to off the lions gate bridge. The area is beautiful, close to English Bay. Love it, will be back!

Such a great way to gain access to Vancouver's west end, all the great restaurants and Stanley Park. I would highly recommend it to visitors and locals alike.
