A stone's throw from the north Norfolk coast, Titchwell Manor is a boutique 27-bedroom country retreat. Winner of a VisitBritain Gold Award, this elegant former Victorian farmhouse offers contemporary accommodation and uninterrupted views across open marshes to the North Sea.
The 27 individually designed bedrooms were recently revamped and many feature standalone baths alongside king-size beds. The Times praises the "eclectic style that mixes Edwardian touches with 1960s furniture and vintage light fittings".
The hotel's facilities include a 3-AA-Rosette fine-dining Conservatory Restaurant or the informal Eating Rooms with a bar and sea-view terrace. Head Chef Eric Snaith is a Member of Master Chefs of Great Britain and his 8-course set menu of modern European cuisine is praised by The AA as an "imaginative menu that features quality local produce and fresh fish".
Titchwell Manor overlooks Norfolk's unspoilt coast (many of the rooms have sea views), and is a bird-spotters paradise, on the edge of the RSPB reserve at Titchwell Marsh. The property offers easy access to the beaches of Brancaster, and it's a short drive to Holkham Hall and the pretty villages of Burnham Market and Blakeney.
