Why We Love This Hotel

  • There's plenty of space to relax after a long day; the resort has three hot tubs, a pool and a fire pit
  • When you're not exploring by foot or bike, head to the river; popular activities include rafting, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and boating
  • The fun doesn't stop at sunset; this region is known for its spectacular stargazing and has some of the darkest skies in the country
  • In town, peruse shops and galleries, grab a bite at the Moab Food Truck Park, visit a brewery or sit down for dinner at a local restaurant; there's plenty to choose from

The Moab resort exceeded our expectations and is minutes away from spectacular Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. After an amazing day of hiking it was a treat to soak in one of three hot tubs and have a delicious and hearty breakfast the next morning. Will stay here again!

The rooms are nice, new, and clean. The walls are very thin and you hear people above, etc. Our fridge was very loud. The pool area is nice, but can get very busy. It doesn't have much happening compared to other time share resorts.

Family with young children were staying above our room. Children were running and jumping onto floor throughout the day and into the evening. Staff claimed to be unable to change our room.

Gouldings Lodge original owners, the Gouldings went to Hollywood and convinced movie drector John Ford Monument Valley was the perfect setting to make Westerns. The Lodge has s great little museum re the Gouldings and the movies that were shot. restaurant on site has good food and great views of Monument Valley from its elevated perspective. Be aware no alcohol is served or sold.
