Slip away to the quaint country town of Healdsburg, located in the heart of Sonoma's Dry Creek Valley. The charming location “has everything a getaway destination should: fancy hotels, world-class restaurants, unique shops, and a collection of tasting rooms representing the best local wineries," raves Frommer's. Best Western Dry Creek Inn is nestled in the center of it all, between the Russian River, the Dry Creek Valley Wine region and just a mile from downtown Healdsburg

Rise and shine each morning with a complimentary breakfast provided to hotel guests. Then savor local wines at wineries surrounding Healdsburg, including producers from Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley.

While the town is known for wine bars, there are also plenty of palate-tempting dining options: Italian restaurants, French bakeries and fresh seafood establishments. Back at the hotel, chat with friends in the Italian-style courtyard or take a dip in one of the pools.

Budget-conscious travelers can opt for the Casa Siena rooms, which provide a minifridge and complimentary Wi-Fi access. The more upscale, Tuscan-style rooms also include such amenities as jetted tubs, fireplaces and private balconies.

Can’t say since hotel under renovation; was only there for less than one full day.

Hotel going through renovation. Tub enclosure needs a grab bar. Centrally located but close to freeway noise. Room was on side with lots of noisy street traffic. Staff very friendly.

near a nice walking trail

I would like the rooms a little better if they had a microwave. Also the rooms were not very sound proof to all the people walking by the room.

Construction going on to the rooms on the side of ours as well as the room directly above, we were not forewarned of excess noise, dust and active work taking place

The room was spacious, breakfast was decent, and the location was in Healdsburg (!). The Dry Creek Inn can step up its game in a few areas. The room had some minor deficiencies that show lack of customer focus: the sink fixture was loose and would move around when turning on the water, the weatherseal around the door was ineffective and allowed a flow of cold outside air (in February) to blow into the room, our room was across from a stairwell and the light through our window was very bright at night even with the blinds closed, we do not like the European style comforters used as bed coverings because they cause us to overheat in the middle of the night - no real way to regulate coverage while sleeping.
Other Comments
The room rate of $95 was indeed a discount from the generally available $129. I thought the $20 "vouchers" for wine tasting were misleading. Getting 2-for-1 vouchers is not the same as getting vouchers with a cash value. In addition, we expected that the vouchers could be used at wineries of our choice from a list of options. In fact, the vouchers were at two pre-determined wineries which we ended up not visiting, so the vouchers turned out to be of no value to us. I will view such offers more skeptically if I decide to take advantage of a Travelzoo offer in the future.
