Early morning window washing. We had a late night and we're hoping to sleep in but around 9:00 we heard men outside our window talking and banging.would have been nice to get notified that this would be going on.we had our curtains open and couldn't get back to sleep..
Also the bar so quite understocked and the staff probably could use some training.

I was charged the destination fee of $35. This fee was supposed to be waived according to your pricing contract. Other than this, I did enjoy my stay.

The place is a little "hipster..ish". The was a weird issue with cars drag racing outside with a huge police reaction to stop the racing.... Lots of engine and police noise. We were told that this has never happened before.

This is a very funky hotel. The location is great IF you can find it. It has a tiny front right next to the Wilbur Theater and it's a bit hard to find. NB It's address is Tremont Street but the front is actually on Stuart. The rooms are very small with no closet at all. There are several pegs to hang your clothes on but it wouldn't be convenient for more than a couple of days. We had a GREAT price from TravelZoo. I'm not sure I'd pay full price for this place except for the location. The HVAC system was terrible - very hard to regulate. One really bright spot - the TV didn't work and when I reported that to the front desk early on a Sunday morning, I wasn't optimistic but two very nice guys showed up in about 10 minutes (I think the main guy was Teddy) and fixed the problem and were quick and friendly. One small downer - there is no coffee in the rooms. You have to go down to the bar and it's only complimentary if you get regular coffee (no decaf) and they actually charge for tea!

Very nice time. Very nice hotel with our all unneeded bells and whisles, very adequate. The vouchers were an unexpected benefit. Unfortunately, the restaurant menu was minimal, and food not that great, was palatable since the vouchers covered the cost. Recomend improving in the restaurant area, the rest was great!

The hotel was lovely; all the employees we encountered were pleasant and easy to deal with. The only complaint I would have was the smell of pot in the room every time the air / heat came on. I don't know if people are smoking near the intake (whether inside or out), but the smell was present quite often in our room.

Rooms were small but clean and comfortable and we liked the minimalist design with folding table/chair and wall hooks. We never use hotel room furniture anyways. Bathroom was a good size.
Other Comments
The sliding bathroom door wouldn't stay closed unless it was locked from the inside so it was annoying trying to use the mirror on the wall behind it. Needed to be reset so it was level.

No coffee maker in the rooms. This country thrives on coffee first thing in the morning. They should have a little coffee pot in the rooms

Easy check in and check out, great staff and location make this a good place to stay if you're planning to spend time in the theater district with close access to mass transit, shopping and restaurants. Rooms are small but comfortable without too many amenities, but, if you don't plan to spend a lot of time at the hotel, it's fine.

There was a water main break in front of the hotel and there was no water for several hours. Not the Moxy's fault of course, but they did their best to make accommodations. The staff is excellent.

I arrived ahead of check in on a Monday and they were happy to take me early. I had a great room on a high floor with a beautiful view of the city. The room is small, so good for one person or a couple who are not too large in size. The only thing I would have liked is a comforter or bedspread on the bed or even in a closet to grab for a cozier feel to the room on a chilly night in January.

Maro who checked me in was very helpful. I enjoyed the free cocktail coupon and had a glass of sparkling rose. The breakfast is limited and has nothing that is Gluten free but there are plenty of places nearby for breakfast.

Easy booking online, had lots of trouble confirming my reservation with Marriott reservations. Check in was smooth. Front Desk could be a little more familiar with surrounding arts and shows, or at least offer to assist when asked. Great service recovery from front desk manager upon checkout, due to very minor issue (steamer no working and wobbly ironing board). Hotel was very clean, quiet. I would definitely stay again as a solo traveler or with a couple. I did think it was interesting that they do not have any rooms with double-double beds!

Very different kind of hotel experience. Adult but geared to the teenager inside. Pac-man, Mortal Kombat, Foosball & many large versions of table games in the common areas available for free. I liked the communal areas very much where there were tables & chairs along the wall of windows on the second floor, and a snuggle together couch with cushions down the middle of the space near the bar with its long table & other groupings of table & chairs - and pink Christmas trees. My room was tiny, about the size of my bed, with pegs for hanging everything including a table & chair. The bathroom with pocket door was roomy & interestingly had a square toilet. I thought my room was too small inititially but being on the 17th floor, felt spacious because of the view.

Pros - the staff were very nice & helpful. I'd left my phone charger at home & they found one that worked; my room had been upgraded, thus the great 17th floor view. Everyone was attentive. And I was given a coupon for a free Happy Hour drink & another for free $25 worth of food for each day I stayed there.
The cons were no extra amenities in the room such as no mini fridge, microwave or coffee maker. I had difficulty figuring out how to use the TV & missed not being able to watch PBS stations.
The reason I said I wouldn't go back is that I like to explore new places, & also, I would rather stay outside the city in the future - maybe at an inn by the ocean. But I recommend the MOXY for a true, hip city of Boston experience! It's a fun place in a great location.
