The hart breakfast on the first day was fantastic. The buffet on the second day was terrible cold and not appealing. Dinner options could be a little bit more varied and higher quality of food.. the rooms in my opinion are very dark and dingy looking needed a good upgrade

We booked 2-nights at the Trillium Resort to celebrate our two-year wedding anniversary. It was the perfect getaway - so relaxing and serene. We enjoyed hiking the trails, canoeing, hot tub, pool and sauna on site. Our dinners and the breakfast buffet were delicious. We stayed in the "Birch" Cabin, it was cozy and super clean, equipped with everything we needed (towels, coffee maker, fridge, mugs, microwave). I highly recommend Trillium Resort for a relaxing escape in the beautiful Muskoka region.

Cottages are really semi cottages attached.lighting inside poor.Micro Wave short cord electrically was not hooked up.i had to figure out.kitchen counter area at night very dark. I said to staff cheap to put in battery operated motion light when you are at counter. BATHROOM was great and up to date.

Wonderful resort on a small quiet lake with great fishing. The restaurant meals are excellent and the staff are very nice. We also appreciate that it is pet friendly.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The meals were fabulous. The cottage was well laid out. Excellent mattress.

Equipment was not set up for guest use - paddle boats full of water, hot tub and sauna not on. Beautiful views and relaxing environment. Great staff!

Beautiful location. 2 hiking trails on the property. Wood Sauna and hot tub available. Well appointed room with mini fridge, kettle, coffee maker and supplies. TV in room but no cable. 200 DVDs available to enjoy. Free wifi. Lodge has tea/coffee available during the day. Good food, ample portions, brought desert back to our room to enjoy. Highly recommend.

The environment, the options , all in one hideaway . This place has so much potential.

The management does not care about regular customers, only wedding parties where they make the most money. There was an incident where a guest became aggressive at dinner, a beautiful ambiance was interrupted with unstable behavior. This guest happened to be our neighbors at the resort. Management was aware and did nothing, not even a check in. We wrote management an email ; an occurrence in their property at the very least requires a well being check in of the guest. Another big issue is the cook who is also the night manager ; he was the only kind and balanced employee but he's stretched. There are facilities which are advertising but can only be used if the guest starts them after the groundskeeper goes home. This issue of being understaffed is not the guest's problem. The peaceful environment is not respected by unprofessional staff. This place by nature has potential, the owner Rob and innkeeper Michelle just doesn't care. It takes one incident. TZ should not endorse this type of behavior which can lead to a violent situation and management not only does nothing but not even violates the guest.

We live only an hour away but construction on our street was very noisy so we wanted some quiet. Trillium was perfect for us. Cottage was a good size and bed very comfortable. Most important of all, it was very quiet and we slept well. Included breakfast was very good and evening dinner was delicious, thanks to talented chef, served in huge post and beam dining room. Be a great location for family celebrations and reunions, etc. Nice beach and sitting area. Just what we needed. Staff smiling and willing to do whatever would make our stay comfortable.

The lake was lovely, it's a quiet, small and cozy resort. We loved the dinner at the restaurant. The amenities were great, canoe, kayak, SUP, peddleboats. Nice hiking trail.

The pool wasn't open yet in May but the hottub was. The pool looked like a good size.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The waitress remembers us from a year ago. Food is fantastic! Lots of options. We snowshoed on the trails right at the resort. Hot tub is hot!!! Beautiful resort setting nestled amongst the tress.

Accommodation, dining experiences and staff were all great. The facilities were well maintained and clean. Mosquitoes were numerous and ferocious due to the wet Spring but beyond control of the resort.

We enjoyed our stay and will likely return. One item to improve upon would be the fit of screens on windows. We stayed in Chalet #6 and there were gaps around all the screens, which meant we needed to keep all the windows closed due to ferocity of the numerous mosquitoes.

Private small resort with top notch facilities. The food was above and beyond our expectations. Beds were comfortable and the wood burning stove was a nice perk. Competent friendly staff. We will definitely return to trillium resort.

Outstanding experience! This resort covers everything; fun and sporty activities, and relaxing activities like hot tub and sauna or just relaxing by the fire. Rooms and atmosphere are cottage cozy, spacious and very clean. Will definitely return!

A very nice relaxing place with great amenities and good food

It would be a good idea to let people know,about the hill up to the chalets as it is difficult for some people to climb.

For the most part we enjoyed our stay. Our BIGGEST Disappointment was the dinner menu. The menu used to be good, but the have changed it to more of a lunch menu…with odd choices. They really show update their sample menu online to what it really is…nothing close to the sample menu. My husband who is not a picky eater ordered the minestrone soup and had to send it back. It was tasteless and did not any way resemble a minestrone soup. It was clear broth with rice and broccoli and carrots. We both had to order a bison burger which was good but for us a burger is a lunch item and a dinner choice. Even the meatloaf was served with rice! Meatloaf should always be served with mashed potatoes! The waitress said the chef likes to put his own spin on things and that she has been working there for a short time but the soup is never the same even though they only have 1 soup on the menu…minestrone. Buffet breakfast was pretty good, one of the egg choices had broccoli in it. This chef likes broccoli I guess! Not that I have anything against broccoli.

We would like to return but would have to really think about what we would eat off their current menu…perhaps time to get a new chef or more menu choices. Only fish choice was fish tacos.

Amazing stay . Service was amazing. Meals were delicious. The walking trails were lovely with red trilliums, violets and other spring flowers in full bloom. The view from the chalet was beautiful and we could hear the spring peepers chirping each evening. Our dog was welcomed with treats, food bowls , blanket and towel. We look forward to returning to this beautiful peaceful sanctuary in the future

We bike and golf during the day, we love the resort for its hospitality and service.

It was enjoyable. The chalet was rather dim and our room had a leak. The fireplaces in lodge were cozy in end of winter. The chef was great amd waitresses amazing! The menu was limited after 3 days due to off season.

Would be nice to see in summer. The spa was closed and change room at hot tub closed.

The staff in the dining room were exceptional and the food portions were generous.

There’s wayyyyy too many bugs everywhere. I mean, if you enjoy killing mosquitos in your room as a sport, this is for you!

We had a terrific time at this resort. The meals were over the top and the staff are amazing. We would go back again if they offered us the same deal with others this next time as well.

Four couples went. Food was fabulous. Wish we had stayed another day, visit was too short.

They were very accommodating as we had to bring our dog last-minute; we also made use of the spa and had a couple of treatments which I would highly recommend,

We completely enjoyed the relaxed pace of the Inn and my spa treatment ( facial) was amazing. The fact that we could bring the dog sealed the deal for us.

Its an excellent stay, very quiet and serene. Facilities are nice and cozy, there are nice personal touches with cookies and things.
