This was a much needed getaway for 2 couples, a gift for 1 couple who supported us through a medical challenge. The experience was everything I was hoping for, for us. The pool, sauna, and hot tub were clean and well cared for. The design of the spa was lovely and very clean. Also, the towels were big and plush. It was a perfect way to relax before our dinner. The only criticism I have is with my salad. It’s a pet peeve of mine to be served with brown, dried pieces of lettuce; always a turnoff for me. Otherwise, the meals were very good. The ambience of this hotel is so elegant yet comfortable. I wish we had purchased more coupons. The setting is so beautiful.

The room was perfect! We slept soundly in the very comfortable bed, and in every other aspect, enjoyed the comfort of the room.

We booked a discounted, Sun-Thurs TravelZoo package deal which included dinner for one of the 2 booked nights. Our room was a spacious king, water-view room with a fireplace, sitting area and spacious bathroom. The included dinner was from a special “Winter Feature” menu (not the regular à la carte) but provided ample selections (3) appetizer and (3) entree. Dessert was also included. Our choices were mussels and a roasted tomato bisque for appetizers and pan sautéed pickerel and 1/2 cornish hen for mains. All of the dishes were extremely well-prepared, tasty and well-presented. Far higher quality than we were expecting for an “included” menu. A sauna, indoor pool and hot tub were nice amenities to have during our late-March visit.

Queen’s Landing is a lovely facility, well-located at the west end periphery of Niagara on the Lake. We were able to easily walk to the Main Street shops and restaurants (shuttles are available). The hotel staff were excellent. Rooms (ours a king, waterview, fireplace) were spacious and clean. We visited at the end of March when the outdoor patios and seating areas were not in use. Overall, however, the hotel is starting to look a little dated and some facilities like the pool and sauna a little worn. More of a ‘90’s vibe than current, modern décor. But if that isn’t a major factor, it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy a weekend or longer in NOTL.

We had a lovely night at Queen’s Landing. Our room had a view of the river and was clean and well appointed. We made use of the gym while we were there. Our favourite part was dinner at the Tiara Room. My husband and I have not enjoyed a meal that much for years. It was delicious and our waiter Rudy was attentive and friendly. Thanks so much for a great getaway via Travelzoo!

Dinner was included in our package, but when we got to the restaurant, we realized how restricted the entree choices were. We ended up paying $25 more each so that we could order from the regular menu. The food was good, but not terrific. It didn't live up to our expectations.
