Service was spectacular as is their happy hour. The valet parking is a luxury.

The view is spectacular! We were on the top (19th) floor as were our friends and no matter which way one looked - it was great

The bar/restaurant area seemed "disorganized". There was the constant "beat music" playing. Background music should be in the background. I do not need ANY music for breakfast. T The Chop restaurant for dinner was very nice (except for the music). Good food. Staff did not have name tags. My steak was cooked like I ordered it. Breakfast was not so good. I had the Prime Beef Hash with a scrambled egg. It must have had some hot sauce from the night before. Far too spicy for breakfast. No whole Wheat toast! No juice on the menu and no cereal at all available. I always have a bowl of brane flakes to start, Not that day. I thought one of the waiters was a customer or a bus boy. Old blue jeans and an untucked shirt. The salt and pepper shakers were sometimes on or the other. Breakfast on day two was cold but I ate it anyway. It must have been sitting in the kitchen for awhile.

If are used to suites, this hotel may disappoint. The king size bed room was small with only one chair. The bath was very large and designed so that 2 people can be in it at the same time with privacy.

The staff were above and beyond!

The Sutton Place Hotel is one of the nicer hotels in Halifax. The location is great, right in the centre of downtown. The value of this deal through Travelzoo is hard to beat and we did get the free room upgrade to a corner suite with great views over the city.

Location was ideal. Bed was comfortable. Aesthetically attractive hotel. However, valet parking was more of an inconvenience than anything. The upgrade was disappointing. It was okay. Would not return.

It was a sister weekend and we both enjoyed it very much. Service was exceptional and the valet parking was much appreciated.
