Secret Deals for Summer Weekends in Las Vegas
Vegas has its own hotel math: Take a midweek room rate, multiply it by two or three, and you'll get a figure that should never surprise you on weekends. Unless, of course, you know the right weekends to book.
To that end, we've just checked every Friday-Sunday for the entire summer and uncovered three "secret" weekends when you can save up to 55% at top Sin City hotels. And just between us, here are the best times:
We've also picked out some of our favorite deals for each of the three. But many of these rates will be the first to go, so if you're even thinking of a weekend in Vegas this summer, request your vacation time now. Oh wait, you don't have to. (The beauty of a weekend trip!)
Bellagio: June weekends ... $215-$233 (45% off)
In addition to its iconic dancing fountains, the AAA 5-Diamond property offers five pools, floating massages and private cabanas with misting systems to combat the desert sun. The hotel is also home to an indoor botanical garden, art gallery and Cirque du Soleil's aquatic masterpiece "O."
Excalibur: June 29 - July 1 … $92 per night (35% off)
The castle-like Excalibur is one of the few family-friendly options on The Strip with carnival and arcade games, a waterslide and live-action dinner theater complete with jousting knights. Budget-conscious grownups will find low table minimums in the sprawling casino—and free, air-conditioned tram rides to Mandalay Bay and Luxor.
Delano: June 22-24 … $161 per night (55% off)
This AAA 4-Diamond non-gaming hotel has a decidedly retreat-like vibe—think white-on-white décor, a huge spa and a guests-only pool with a submerged chess set. Still, you'll be surrounded by mega resorts here, so casinos, concert halls and nightclubs are never more than a dice throw away.
Park MGM Las Vegas: June weekends; Aug. 1-19 … $89 per night (40% off)
Get here soon, and you'll be among the first to experience the hotel's totally remodeled rooms (with optional upgrades that include special lighting to suppress melatonin and reduce jet lag). Just in time for summer, the hotel has also unveiled a new complex with three pools and two outdoor bars.
Vdara: June 15-17; Aug. 17-19 … $143-$161 per night (35% off)
Apartment-style accommodations, the absence of a casino and proximity to the CityCenter’s designer shops make this 5-star hotel ideal for anyone looking to experience Vegas’ quieter side. After a shopping spree, you can chill in a private rooftop plunge pool, rehydrate at the smoothie bar—or detox at in the spa's eucalyptus-infused steam room.
