The Moxy Times Square is a hip, stylish boutique hotel with a "buzzy and playful" vibe (Fodor's) and a great location, in the heart of midtown Manhattan. Built into a 110-year-old building that was fully refurbished before opening in 2017, the hotel "[blends] savvy urban design with fun millennial flavor" (Oyster.com) thanks to touches like the neon pink sign that greets all guests and on-site amenities like a speakeasy-style barber shop and tattoo parlor.
Guest rooms, starting at 200 square feet, are a little on the small side, even for New York, but come packed with tech-friendly extras like flat-screen TVs with streaming capabilities, USB ports a-plenty for powering your devices and free high-speed Wi-Fi. There's also plush bedding, with 300-thread-count linens, rainfall showers and a free daily coffee for each guest at Bar Moxy in the lobby.
Dining options are managed by the city's famous Tao Group and run the gamut from fresh seafood, at Legasea; 24-hour breakfast service, at Egghead; healthy grab-and-go snacks (and soft serve ice cream), at The Pickup; or drinks, at the hotel's famous Magic Hour rooftop cocktail lounge. This urban amusement park on the 18th floor features a rotating carousel and a miniature golf course — and a wide variety of craft cocktails, of course.
