Why We Love This Hotel

  • Liverpool's waterfront, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which includes the Royal Liver Building, is opposite the hotel
  • The Royal Albert Dock, home to Tate Liverpool and The Beatles Story is less than 15 minutes' walk away
  • The hotel's bar and restaurant have views of the Mersey

The Mercure Liverpool Atlantic Tower Hotel is a 12-storey building in the city's bustling commercial district. Liverpool's waterfront, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is opposite, and includes the famous Royal Liver Building.

Some of Liverpool's most famous attractions are nearby. The Museum of Liverpool, rich with the city's fascinating past, is less than a 10-minute walk away, while The Royal Albert dock, which is home to Tate Liverpool -- renowned for its world-class contemporary art -- and the Merseyside Maritime Museum, are both less than 15 minutes' walk away. From there you can walk on to find The Beatles Story, a museum dedicated to the band, and the Wheel of Liverpool, a Ferris wheel that gives views of the Mersey. There are plenty of places to eat and drink around there, too.

At the hotel you can sit and take in views of Liverpool's dynamic skyline with a drink at the Vue Bar and Terrace or grab a bite to eat at the hotel's Vista Restaurant.

All rooms have wall-mounted motifs of Liverpool attractions, and Superior rooms are larger than Standard rooms and have added toiletries.

The room was excellent with a fantastic view of the Liver Building. The hotel was in a very convenient location. The only disappointment was the quality of the breakfast. However, we would stay here again.

Breakfast was disappointing...didn't see options to choose other items from the menu, otherwise we would have ordered from it.

After reading the reviews we were apprehensive but we needn’t have worried. The staff are brilliant, the location great and the room was excellent. The only downside is that we only booked one night.

Very impressed that the lifts were fast and all in operation.

We arrived a couple of hours before checking in time and, although the room wasn’t available they were happy to store our luggage securely while we went out sightseeing. The room really was a superior one with a king size bed and a fantastic view of the Liver Building and the Mersey. The hotel is excellently placed for exploration the waterside attractions and the City centre.
Other Comments
The breakfast was rather disappointing. Despite the alluring photos in the lift of tasty breakfast dishes with fresh fruit, we saw nothing like that and the cooked food, particularly the bacon and fried bread, had the unpleasant taste of ‘tired’ cooking oil. We’d happily pay a return visit but would probably opt for a room only deal and head out for breakfast.

Very good experience at a great hotel. Enjoyed a mini break in a wonderful location. The room on 6th floor was bigger than average with a super king sized bed. Best of all was the fantastic view of the river and Liver Building. The only niggle was the small bathroom.which had a shower over a deep bath.
Other Comments
All the staff we had contact with were friendly and happy. A pleasure to deal with.
