Hotel Rochester Champs Elysées
Why We Love This Hotel
- Arc de Triomphe & Opéra are within walking distance
- It's a great area for dining, with several Michelin-starred restaurants nearby
- There's a small spa with a steam room & gym on site
- The breakfast buffet is served until 2pm
There's no restaurant in the hotel but guests can stop by the cosy panelled bar for an apéritif before exploring the local dining options -- try the Rue de Berri and Rue Marbeuf, just two blocks away, for traditional French cuisine.
For more upmarket fare, there's Pierre Gagnaire on the Rue Balzac and Lasserre (the former haunt of Audrey Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich) on Avenue Franklin D Roosevelt -- both with Michelin stars and within a 15-minute walk.
Back at the hotel, there's a small spa specialising in massages and facials plus a tiled steam room and fitness suite. A breakfast buffet is served in the chic dining room or outside in the courtyard until 2pm, and includes a choice of pastries, cold meats, cheeses and eggs.
The bedrooms have large windows and are mostly traditional in design, with some modern pops of colour. Most face the leafy inner courtyard -- they are quieter than those facing the street -- and entry-level rooms are on the smaller side. Suites have separate sitting rooms and the Privilege Junior Suites open directly onto the courtyard.
