Ca’ dell’Arte offers lavishly styled accommodation in a peaceful area but within easy reach of many of Venice’s major attractions. Set in the San Samuele district, known for its artistic heritage, this compact hotel is located on a quaint side street, a few minutes’ walk from San Samuele’s striking 17th-century church and the nearest vaporetto stop. It’s within a 10-minute walk of sightseeing highlights including Gallerie dell’Accademia, with its vast collection of pre-19th-century paintings, modern art at the Guggenheim Venice, and landmark Piazza San Marco, Venice’s “grand showpiece square” (Lonely Planet), and home to the Doge’s Palace, St. Mark’s Basilica and the Campanile bell tower. Venice’s Ghetto, the former Jewish quarter with its trio of synagogues, takes about 30 minutes to reach on foot from the hotel.
A mirror-lined hallway topped with wooden beams leads into Ca’ dell’Arte. Guests can enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast in the cosy dining room, which opens to a patio, and where tea and pastries are served in the afternoon. Decor in the art-filled guestrooms is opulent, featuring Murano glass, carved wood furnishings and richly patterned fabrics, and all the rooms offer free Wi-Fi, TVs and air-conditioning, plus tea- and coffee-making facilities. Higher tariff rooms add living areas, whilst the hotel’s top-level suite has an upstairs sitting room.
