Overview

After undergoing a $12 million renovation, the Scottsdale Inn will reopen as Hotel Adeline and is currently taking reservations for Dec. 15 and after. The 4.5-acre downtown property features a modern, minimalist style and an open floorplan. The hotel's communal spaces -- the lobby, restaurant, lounge and pool deck -- are designed to encourage mingling as well as to attract locals.

Dining options on site include a Mediterranean restaurant with an adjacent lounge and a café including a late-night grab-and-go bar. The courtyard pool is surrounded by cabanas, lounge chairs and palm trees with a pool bar and patio. Guests also have access to the fitness center and hot tub.

Two stories of guest rooms circle the courtyard, offering views of the pool from even-numbered rooms. Accommodations have one king or two queen beds, reading nooks with leather chaise lounges, Smart TVs, rainfall showers and free Wi-Fi. Upgrading to a suite adds a seating area and access to a private patio.

The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Fashion Square shopping center, the Scottsdale Waterfront and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. Both Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University are within 20 minutes of the property, making it a convenient choice for visiting families, alumni or prospective students.

Very nice hotel. Staff very friendly. Would suggest the front desk advise about the ice situation as we never found the machine.

We did like the renovation they had done and the pool area was nice but needs more shade. The staff was nice and accommodating when we were put in a room right by the front driveway and street noise was loud with people coming and going. We were able to be moved to a slightly better location which we had paid for to begin with. The lobby area and cafe for picking something up to eat in the morning was just fine to take and sit outside on the patio to enjoy. It is a good attempt to renovate what was or seems to be an old Best Western style motel but lacked the details to make it worth our time to go back.
Other Comments
The noise generated anytime anyone was walking outside on the walkway rattled and echoed making it way too noisy and disruptive for us to enjoy as a couple. The stairways and walkways need to be completely redone to take care of this or at least put some carpet or artificial turf down to muffle the sound. When your bed (which was comfortable to sleep in) is located so closely to the door( which we found got stuck a lot or needed to be re-keyed twice in one night just to get in our room), as the rooms are small, and the insulation is not great the sound is just way too much to put up with. The bathroom is tight and the shower flooded anytime we used it so a better set up or even a curtain might help. A bigger or taller person than average would not like this and be uncomfortable. The soaps and shampoo were nice.

They couldn't get our bill straight & it took them 3 hours to straighten it out when we were checking out. That part was Very disappointing & time consuming.

The noise level, especially late at night and early am was unacceptable which is not the hotel fault but was woke up over and over again by fellow guests. Heard every step and conversations. NO ICE MACHINE.

The staff was excellent!!! The restaurant for lunch was soooo good. We had short rib sandwiches with this amazing tomato salad with ricotta cheese!! We are addicted to it!! Can’t wait to go back! The rooms were nice and the beds comfy!! We got there early and they accomadated us very quickly, before we were even done with lunch. We were going to the Waste Management Open’s Bird’s Nest to see Florida Georgia Line and the hotel was very convenient. Will definently go back!!

Paper thin walls so you could hear everything between rooms and the outside. It is set up like a motel but they prevent you from parking near your room so you can use their valet but that was cumbersome and time consuming.

We arrived on the first day they were open and the hotel was still under construction. They said it was a “soft opening”. No amenities were available. No access to the pool, zero restaurants on property were open, no working ice makers. I am familiar with the Scottsdale area and the photo used by Travelzoo misrepresents where this property is located. It is not directly in Old Town. As a frequent Travelzoo booker and one that looks at your top deals religiously, I was very disappointed with this experience.

The picture on the TravelZoo as was NOT THE HOTRL! I thought we were staying right downtown! The hotel was NOT ready for people. No drinking water, ice, tissues, no food or drink st all! Pool was not open. Spent 5 hours trying to fix the key entry. I would appreciate a full return of my money! This hotel was not ready and is not ready for visitors!!
