Overview

This boutique-style seven-room resort is intimate in atmosphere but big on amenities. In addition to the usual suspects like free Wi-Fi, bathrobes and in-room coffee, booking a room at Sproat Lake Landing Resort also gets you reserved seating at a private fire pit. Guests will also appreciate unlimited use of water sports equipment, daily access to indoor activities in the Stirling Room and concierge service.

Rooms are designed with inspiration from the Pacific Northwest and feature locally sourced art, treats and artisan products that change seasonally. Families can spread out in Resort View rooms with two queen-size beds, while capacious Lake View king rooms have private balconies with views of Sproat Lake, Mount Arrowsmith and the resort’s natural beaver habitat. All rooms have rainfall showers and personal refrigerators.

Dining on site at Drinkwaters Restaurant, Lakeside Lounge or Stirling Room comes with expansive views. Drinkwaters has floor-to-ceiling windows and a patio that overlooks the lake and the Joe Drinkwater IV tugboat, which is named after the famous prospector and trapper who pioneered much of the gold-rush activity in the area. Be sure to take a ride on this eye-catching red vessel for shoreline tours to see ancient Aboriginal rock-carved petroglyphs, kilometres of untouched shoreline and forests, and maybe a glimpse of the world’s largest flying boat, the Mars bomber.

Rooms were lovely, staff very pleasant, grounds kept beautifully. They shouldn't be open off-season if they're not prepared to give good service.

Dinner in the restaurant was a disappointment.....dried out salmon, over cooked vegetables. We were told that breakfast, which was included, would be served in the Sterling room the first morning. When we went down, everything was locked up ( we were the only guests in the hotel that night). We went across to Della's where a lovely woman served us breakfast from what she had in the bakery. The second morning, breakfast was served but it was disappointing....high sugar, white flour pastries....very unappetizing.

The room is well appointed, clean, modern and beautifully decorated in modern rustic Westcoast style. The restaurant is visually stunning and serves delicious fine food!

We truly enjoyed the experience at the resort where every detail is attractive and well maintained; and the staff is extremely pleasant. It was a nice surprise for a spot relatively remote!!

Our three day stay at Sproat Lake Landing Resort was excellent from start to finish. Staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant was well above our expectations. Excellently prepared, well plated, well served, and very moderate in price resulting in our dining there each evening of our stay. Our compliments to this boutique hotel and restaurant for providing an excellent place to relax and enjoy the beautiful setting.

Nicely finished room and very friendly staff.

Room was noisy on the highway side. I was overcharged for the room. Room was nice but small. Outside fire pits were not in operation.

The rooms are very nice and exceptionally clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Loved the trip to Stam falls. I would come back knowing now what to expect but if you look for a resort with spa, pool, hot tub and steam room this is not the place.
Other Comments
Sproat Lake is not a resort it does not offer any amenities that a resort normally have like hot tub or pool. Breakfast was served in the store and not in the hotel. If we had known that this is more a 2-star hotel we would not have booked it. Therefore the title resort is misleading

The breakfast was less than expected from an upscale hotel. Why don't they consider a good English style breakfast?
