"Hotel looked a bit tired and could definitely do with a coat of paint and the bedrooms updating. We had a sea-view which was amazing. Lovely waking up to that view in the morning. The bedrooms were very dated and not the cleanest, cobwebs all over the the windows etc. Breakfast was excellent and the dining area seemed a lot nicer than the rooms. We had a great weekend in Tenby, its such a lovely place. I would go back to Tenby but would probably try a different hotel."

Overview

The Fourcroft Hotel is in Tenby, a seaside town on the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, that is described as a "postcard-maker's dream" by Lonely Planet.

This Georgian townhouse is on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and overlooks Tenby's old fishing harbour on Carmarthen Bay, and has its own private path down to the Blue Flag North Beach.

It's a 10-minute walk from Castle Beach and the town centre, where you'll find the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, and an array of pubs, cafés and independent stores. Boats run to Caldey Island from Tenby Harbour, every day except Sunday, throughout the summer months. The Blue Lagoon Water Park and the Oakwood Theme Park are both less than 30 minutes away by car.

According to The Daily Telegraph, "the soul of Fourcroft comes from the sprinkle of personal touches, such as salvaged cinema seats from the local picture house and walls of family photos." The baby-blue hotel, which was built in 1832, features a restaurant with bay views, as well as a bar, a heated outdoor swimming pool (seasonal), a hot tub, a sauna, a games lounge and gardens.

Location is first class with stunning views over the beach and harbour, and free street parking outside. Staff were really friendly. But the hotel itself is very tired with outdated furniture, shabby carpets etc. That said, we only used it as a base as we were out all day and the bed was clean and comfortable.
Other Comments
Bed was clean and comfortable, room had fabulous views which we paid extra for, and room was also very quiet. Carpet in our bedroom was full of black dog hair, windows were full of cobwebs and the milk jug on the breakfast table had old dried milk stuck to the insides on the 2 mornings we had breakfast.

Conveniently located to Tenby town centre. Fabulous views from the front of the hotel over the North Beach. Staff were very friendly and polite. Very nice breakfast. Rooms very dated, good shower, comfortable bed. The Travelzoo deal for bed/breakfast for two evenings was very good and a glass of prosecco each when we arrived!

needs a major refurbishment. Rooms very dated, no tv in 1st room we were given, tv in 2nd room signal broke up, virtually unwatchable. Dining & reception areas nice, all other areas not up to standard, very surprised Zoo travel recommended this hotel
