Explore historic Wismar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you'll find best examples of North German Gothic architecture, as well as four churches -- Holy Spirit Church, St. Mary's Church, St. George Church and St. Nicholas Church. You can also get to the seaside resorts of Boltenhagen and Kühlungsborn within 50 minutes.
The hotel is designed with natural stone walls, plants, parquet floors, wood in the rooms, light gray and large mirrors in the bathroom. There are ceiling-to-floor windows that look out over the countryside, to the brick churches in the historic old town.
The hotel’s restaurant has a breakfast buffet and it serves several courses in the evening. The kitchen uses seasonal, organic produce where possible.
Guests staying at the chic Wonnemar Resort Hotel in Wismar can use the adventure pool for free. There is an exclusive access from the hotel to the water park, which is more than 10,000 square metres in size. There's a 25-metre swimming pool, a wave pool, a whirlpool, a massage pool, an outdoor pool with a lazy river, and a slide tower.
Around the small lake you will see colourful wooden huts which have a Scandinavian feel -- this is the Wonnemar’s sauna area. The slightly elevated panoramic sauna offers a direct view of the countryside. We were particularly impressed by the built-in ground sauna with an open log fire. The on-site spa offers massages with mother-of-pearl or an aloe vera (for an additional cost). Guests can also workout in the large gym.
