Dotted with rolling hills and pretty medieval towns, the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a perfect getaway destination. You can save 36% on a summer stay with this 2-night mini break from The Bull at Burford, including:

  • Two nights' accommodation in a Standard Double, Standard Twin or Courtyard Double Room, with daily full English breakfast, for two
  • It's an extra $89 per stay for a Superior Room

Why We Love It

  • This 15th-century inn is on Burford's quaint High Street
  • The property is on the edge of the Cotswolds and is 25 minutes' drive from Blenheim Palace
  • The restaurant has two AA Rosettes and an AA Breakfast Award
  • Guestrooms are traditionally decorated and some have 4-poster beds

The rolling Cotswold countryside is easily accessible from The Bull at Burford, which is set among a cluster of traditional stone buildings on the bustling High Street of one of the area's most charming towns. This boutique bolthole is housed in a 15th-century former coaching inn, complete with courtyard and stables, and is located along the street from the Tudor-era Tolsey Museum, which charts the town's history.

Picturesque Bourton-on-the-Water, known for its elegant bridges, is a 20-minute drive away, while Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill, is around 25 minutes' drive from the inn. Oxford city centre and its collection of medieval university buildings, takes approximately 40 minutes to reach by car.

There's a rustic-chic feel to The Bull's 2-AA-Rosette restaurant, which features wooden beams, exposed brick walls and smart leather seating, and serves an "imaginative menu" (The AA Hotel Guide 2018) of brasserie-inspired dishes. Guests can also relax in the cosy lounge.

The AA Hotel Guide 2018 praises the "stylish, attractively presented bedrooms that reflect plenty of charm and character". There are 18 rooms, which range from traditionally furnished double rooms with exposed beams, to grander options kitted out with 4-poster beds and living areas. Every room has free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Food was exceptional. Staff excellent

Parking very tight. We were in classic sports cars and think it may have been possible for management to have accommodated us in a small secluded car park at the rear, but it wasn't offered. Apart from that all was excellent
