"Love that the place is super dog friendly. Ground level rooms have direct access to green space at back. Lake is super calm my dog loves to go swimming there :). Oh, and food at restaurant is delicious(a little salty for my taste but still tasty)"

Getting There

Quaaout Lodge is just off the Trans-Canada Highway. The resort is halfway between Vancouver and Calgary, a 45-minute drive from Kamloops or a two-hour drive north from Kelowna International Airport.

For a more scenic route from Vancouver, take Highway 99, otherwise known as the Sea-to-Sky Highway, for dramatic ocean and mountain views. This route takes about two hours longer than the direct four-hour drive on the Trans-Canada Highway.

My husband enjoyed the food but I thought the menu could be expanded a bit. However, what I ordered was prepared and presented well.

On our Travelzoo confirmation reference #0278-3629-7030, it states the Travelzoo deal includes a $50. nightly credit, however when we were checking out, I didn't see the $50. credit on my receipt and I was told by the hotel clerk that we would not be getting a $50. nightly credit since our dinner was $44.00; we would only be getting a $44. credit for our one night stay. This does not seem quite fair when everyone else probably got a $50. nightly credit for the Travelzoo deal!

They need to have a little more to entertain visitors other than golf. Have some lawn and beach lounge chairs, lawn games, guided hiking, cultural events, bike rentals.

We messed up our booking and arrived a day late. That caused us no problems whatsoever, and we were admitted on the day after our scheduled arrival with no problems. The dinner was excellent.
