Sir Victor Hotel opened in the centre of Barcelona in 2019. The luxury hotel is on the corner of the Passeig de Gràcia, the city's high-end shopping street, and is a block from Gaudí's last work Casa Milà, more commonly known as La Pedrera (The Quarry).
It is 10 minutes' walk from two other important Modernista buildings: Casa Batlló, described by Lonely Planet as "Gaudí at his hallucinatory best", and Casa Amatller, a Gothic-style townhouse designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch. The Museu Egipci, which showcases an "exceptional" (Rough Guides) collection of artefacts from ancient Egypt, is a 10-minute walk away. Diagonal Metro station is across the street from the hotel, and direct buses from the airport stop at the Plaça de Catalunya, less than 20 minutes' walk away.
Mr Porter, the hotel's steakhouse restaurant, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, and features a 360-degree bar serving cocktails. In warmer months you can also head to The Rooftop bar and restaurant, which features a sundeck, an outdoor pool and DJ sets. There are views of Casa Milà and La Sagrada Familia from here.
The hotel's Zero Spa offers a range of pampering treatments (charges apply), and guests have complimentary access to the indoor pool, the sauna and the steam room, as well as the gym, which features state-of-the-art equipment.
Rooms are modern and have views of the inner courtyard or the Passeig de Gràcia. All feature Bluetooth speakers, a mini bar, tea- and coffee-making facilities, a goody box and free Wi-Fi. Some have balconies.
