Set in tropical gardens with views of the Atlantic, this resort hotel offers a picturesque place to stay in Tenerife's upmarket Costa Adeje, which is just along the coast from Playa de la Américas and is known for its "sophisticated clubs and restaurants and superb beaches" (Lonely Planet). The hotel is well placed for visiting popular local attractions including the Aqualand and Siam Park waterparks, both of which are around a kilometre away.
The hotel has plenty of places to relax and unwind in the Canarian sunshine, including a seawater swimming pool, which has an adults-only area, and a lagoon-style pool that's fringed with palm trees and tropical plants.
If you fancy being pampered, the spa offers a range of indulgent treatments including detoxifying body wraps and aromatherapy (supplements apply). Leisure facilities include a Jacuzzi, a sauna and a steam bath, and massages can also be enjoyed by the swimming pools in the tranquil gardens. The gym is open 24 hours a day, and there's a programme of activities such as Pilates, yoga and aqua fitness classes.
Peppered around the resort are a number of bars and restaurants serving everything from tapas and fresh seafood to snacks and international favourites. Las Rocas is perched on a cliff over the sea and offers traditional Canarian seafood with ocean views, while El Churrasco serves Argentinian-style grilled meat dishes. As the sun sets, head down to the Beach Club Bar, where's there's regular live jazz and DJ sets.
The air-conditioned rooms have balconies so you can enjoy the garden or sea views (extra charges apply for sea views). Standard double rooms are decorated with a colour scheme of fresh white accented with shades of ocean blue.
