The Manor Amsterdam is set in an imposing former hospital building dating from the late 1800s. It's in Amsterdam-Oost, within walking distance of many of the borough's sights and attractions. The bustling Dappermarkt, one of Amsterdam's busiest markets, is around 500 metres away, while leafy Oosterpark is a couple of minutes' walk from the hotel.
There are excellent public transport links and it's easy to get into central Amsterdam. A tram to Rembrandt Square takes around seven minutes from a stop near the hotel, and Amsterdam Muiderpoort railway station is around 500 metres away. If you fancy exploring on two wheels, it's possible to hire bicycles at the hotel.
There are restaurants, cafés and bars nearby, where you can dine out on everything from Nepalese and Indian curries to steak and sushi. Back at the hotel, Enoteca serves traditional Italian cuisine, including pizzas, pasta dishes and salads. It's a smart contemporary space with parquet flooring and large windows. There's also a terrace for al fresco dining in the warmer months. There are dozens of fine Italian wines on the menu, and the bar also serves fresh coffee and cocktails.
There's free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and rooms are decorated in a contemporary style with modern photography above the headboards. Some have high ceilings, large windows and period features. Superior rooms are at the front of the hotel and have city views -- a few of them have balconies. Higher-category Deluxe rooms have views over the garden.
