The room and the service was great. The staff was very friendly. The only problem I had was the package included breakfast of up to $26. We ordered breakfast for $16 along with a glass of orange juice. For this we were charged $3 plus HST per glass for two days for two couples. This was in excess of $30 which I thought was cash grab on top of the package. This little incident was a turn off.

We had to upgrade the room as the promotional room was less than appealing. It was worth the money to stay in the spa suite.

The cabin rooms were very spacious and right in front if the lake. Great view, very quiet & peaceful.

Not really kid friendly. It's more for couples. We were the only families with kids & out children's noises may have been annoying for everyone else. I was hoping for a paranormal experience, but It's not haunted.

Mattress was very poor. Had a hard time sleeping. Both of us had a sore back in the morning. Would be nice to have a king-sized bed. Also, not much to do in the area at this time of year.

Breakfast was included in the voucher. It was very good, we both enjoyed it.

The one issue I would like to comment on was our dinner on Friday evening. Maybe it was an off day for the cook and the service staff but it was below substandard. Food was cold, my spouse's steak was well done and he asked for medium rare. I ordered the scallop and shrimp pasta and there were 2 scallops and 2 shrimps in the dish. For $25 there should be more seafood presented in a pasta dish. The wrong salad was delivered to me. No one checked back regarding how our meal was, no refills on water or asked about our drinks (My spouse left his caesar 2/3 not drank, this in itself would be a flag to any server that it was not enjoyed otherwise it would have been emptied). There were several local people who dined at the same time and we felt there was preferential treatment for locals rather than those who were from out of town staying at the Inn. Finally, our bill was given without a note of "Thanks!' or our waitresses name. It was all business-like and nothing with personal touches. Had the meal been better, we would have dined there again on Saturday evening but we left hungry (both our meals barely half eaten) and quite disappointed at the service, atmosphere and food.
