Axiom Hotel San Francisco
Why We Love This Hotel

- Apple TV streaming and free Wi-Fi in guest rooms
- Communal meeting area features a posh lounge and social media center
- In front of the Powell Street BART station and three blocks from Union Square
Although the building was constructed in 1908, the Axiom Hotel has transformed the historic edifice’s interiors to feature contemporary decor and cutting-edge technology. Designed with San Francisco’s thriving tech scene as inspiration, the turn-of-the-century property is outfitted with industrial-chic details like exposed pipes, glass walls and digital portraits. Visitors have access to a communal meeting area dubbed the Cloud with old school arcade games and a social media-connected “selfie station.”
The neutral palettes of the guest rooms are offset by bursts of magenta and electric blue against midcentury furnishings and leather accents. High-tech features like smart televisions with Apple TV streaming, iPod docking stations and free Wi-Fi are included in all accommodations. Guests wishing to disconnect can borrow books from the generously stocked library.
Guests have access to the on-site fitness center and also receive a discount on car rentals for adventures around the Bay Area. The Turn Cafe serves organic, locally sourced cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the evenings, guests can stop by the bar for handcrafted cocktails. Located in front of the landmark Powell Street cable car turnaround, the hotel is just three blocks from Union Square and within a 15-minute walk of the Moscone Center and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
