This aparthotel offers a self-catering alternative to hotel accommodation in the leafy Newcastle suburb of Jesmond. It's about a 15-minute walk to the city centre, or there's a Metro station just a couple of minutes from the apartments.
Jesmond's restaurants, bars and coffee shops, many of which are situated on Osborne Road, are within easy reach. The Great North Museum: Hancock, which is home to natural history displays and archaeological collections, is just half a mile from the hotel, as is The Biscuit Factory, the UK's largest independent art, craft and design gallery.
The apartments, which have bright, contemporary décor, are also well placed for city-centre shopping -- the shops of Northumberland Street and Eldon Square are within a mile of the hotel and are easily reached by Metro. The waterfront pubs and eateries of the Quayside are around a mile away, and just beyond them, on the south bank of the river, is the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, which is housed in an impressive former flour mill.
Back at the aparthotel, there are 16 well-equipped apartments with complimentary Wi-Fi, ranging from one-bedroom studios to spacious 2-bedroom apartments. Each has its own kitchenette, giving guests the freedom to choose whether to dine in or to eat out in one of the many local restaurants, cafés and pubs.
