Towering over the shoreline of Table Rock Lake, the Chateau on the Lake Resort is one of the Branson area's best destinations (and one of just two AAA 4-Diamond properties in the area) with a wealth of activities for the whole family.

Rooms were fully renovated in 2015 and feature plush bedding with cherrywood headboards, 300-thread-count sheets, tiled stone bathrooms, 37" flat-panel TVs and Keurig coffee makers. Wi-Fi is complimentary, and many rooms feature private balconies and Ozark mountain or Table Rock lake views.

Guests can relax in the 14,000-square-foot Spa Chateau, soak in the outdoor Roman-style bath or the waterfall-fed infinity hot tub. Guests can also let the kids hang out at the Crawdaddies Kids Club while parents work up a sweat on the tennis courts, hike the forest trails surrounding the resort or rent boats at the marina.

Four on-site dining options range from a cheery ice cream parlor to an elegant dining room that earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. While the setting itself is serene, guests are a short drive from Branson's main strip, lined with more than 100 live shows, museums, attractions and more.

From the press:

  • "An exceptional property offering elegance and many unique features, including a mixture of Ozark hospitality and sophisticated service" -- AAA

Nice quite atmosphere....until....... However, appeared to be only 20% or less occupancy. The Friday we left a large group of dance moms and their children came in and we were so glad we were not going to be there at the same time. Our last night (Thurs) the room next to us was booked with adults and three children and door slamming, hallway discussions, balcony sliding door open and shut over and over.............began. With such low occupancy why would the hotel registration desk not space the occupied rooms to avoid this as long as possible.

Fine dining area was ok. However, this is our second year to have bad experience with the Grille dining area. Soup delivered barely warm had to send it back to be heated. Quiche was cold and tasteless. For a top rated hotel this should not be accepted and someone needs to visit with the kitchen management............they should have never presented the above. Either need a new chef or new manager. Also, ordered pastries at the bakery counter to be picked up by us. Ordered them two days prior to needing them. Even went in the day before and reminded them and still the chef did not have them ready on the day of need. Again poor reflection on the kitchen chef and management. Then, when we returned home our Visa "alert" email indicated they had charged our visa almost twice the amount shown on our folio bill when we checked out. Still waiting to get this straight. Has not shown up on the Visa card yet but neither has the correct amount. Should not have this happen..........just problem and aggravation trying to be sure they bill correctly now. All of this leaves a bad impression on the hotel. Otherwise, nice place but questionable management efficiency.

The jogging 'trail' is merely a loop thru the car parks. Best be honest about that. Otherwise, a nice visit.

We love it here but we know our way around. It’s not on the “strip” so you have to drive everywhere and Branson is very busy in the summer. But if you want to be a little away from all the craziness and noise it’s your place and it’s the nicest hotel in town.
