Why We Love It

  • Renovated 19th-century mansion overlooking the Niagara River
  • Only a 18-minute walk to the Maid of the Mist and views of the Falls
  • Complimentary breakfast is appreciated daily by all guests of the hotel
  • Parking and Wi-Fi are free

This hotel is housed in a 19th-century manor trimmed with cedar gingerbread, and is a short walk along the river to all Niagara Falls has to offer. The Maid of the Mist boat tour is an 18-minute walk away, and Casino Niagara is a less than a five-minute drive from the property.

The garden terrace can be enjoyed seasonally, or guests can curl up with a book in the living room. Guestrooms are decorated with antique-looking furniture, but have modern amenities like free W-Fi, air conditioning and flat-screen TVs. Some have gas fireplaces to direct access to the garden patio. A hot breakfast is included with the rooms and is made-to-order; guests can choose from the menu the night before and enjoy it in the sunlit dining room each morning. Parking is free, something that comes at a premium in Niagara Falls and is hard to come by.

The breakfasts were fantastic!

The bathrooms are dated and dingy. Our toilet constantly ran and the shower continuously dripped. The actual room was nice.

The breakfasts were beyond compare to any hotel or B&B we have stayed at in the past. The Eggs Benedict were the absolute best, as was the made-to-order omelette.
Other Comments
Our room was clean and tastefully decorated, with a king size bed and comfy mattress. We received a bottle of wine and wine tasting vouchers, but the B&B was out of the special chocolates, so a staff member gave us a bottle of wine in its place. A very kind gesture. The view of the river from our room was scenic. We will have to revisit this lovely B&B in the warmer months to be able to sit outside in what we think were spectacular gardens surrounding the house during the Spring, Summer and early Fall. The B&B is a five minute walk to downtown Niagara Falls. All in all, an A-1 B&B.

The wonderful breakfasts, the wonderful staff, the warm and inviting “reading room”.
Other Comments
Our room strongly reminded us of being in a motel. The heavy door and large window leading on to a communal balcony from which one descends to re-enter the Inn to enjoy the other amenities. The room did have a fireplace but unfortunately, was so awkwardly placed that one couldn’t enjoy it’s ambience. The bathroom was outdated and uninviting.
